GTAn00b
It's obvious that most who just got it on the PS2 didn't finish it however, after watching the review on IGN, I would like to know badly if the health increases as the game progresses. With that little meter, I think we will be wasted too many times to count before the game is over. Lastly, if you guys recalled, GTA III was a hell of a hard game to finish, at least without codes anyway. Many have told me that it was indeed difficult to finish and when they finished it, they had to use cheats along the process (myself included). If you have reached almost to the end whether it be on PSP or PS2, is this another version of GTA III in terms of difficulty? I know I finished both Vice City and San Andreas WITHOUT cheats but I'm a bit skepticle in purchasing this later on today if I'm forced to use cheats in order to finish the game. Yes that sounds completely ridiculous but I just like to hold my head high knowing I didn't use cheats. Thanks for all of those that can help. Cheers. The game is harder than GTA3, but easier than Vice City. If you've beaten GTA3 plenty of times like I have without codes, you should have no problem with this game whatsoever. And if you've beaten all GTA games without cheats than that makes it easier as well. No, your health does not increase throughout the game. Learning when to tap R1 to auto-aim is key to taking enemies down quickly without losing much armor/health, and learning where armor and health pickups is another key thing to note in your head so you're not wasting money every single mission to pay $240 for armor when you can quickly drive to a location and pick it up for free. slifer7894
It didn't increase on the psp.. But on PSP it wasn't that hard to beat storyline.. a few missions here and there get annoying but its not that hard overall. I didn't use cheats.
InvertedShadow
LCS was too quick and too easy imo. I didnt beat GTA3 until after I beat vice. and thats WITH cheats. God damn last mission was blazin impossible. Also I didnt use a single cheat on LCS and I used tons on 3, and LCS was easier. What does that say? lol

Pumpkin Zone
I'm on the last mission on PS2 as well, i've died twice.. so I kinda got pissed.. Also, you're health DOES increase. Finish level 12 on Punk Noodles, there will be a Noodle faggio outside the Punk Noodles shop in Portland in Chinatown. It's like the pizza missions in Vice City that increases your health by 50%. Search around Phil's Gun Shop, and find another " Punk Noodles " place.. although it is now a Pizza restarant, like in Vice City. Yet again, finish level 12 and you're health increases another 50%, now making your health 100% more. To get 100% more armor, defeat Vigilante missions up to level 12. I just completed the one in Portland before.
OGSh1thead
punk noodles or pizzaboy missions will increase it... i didn't even bother tho... in my opinion this game was really easy. But i guess to each their own... someone before said they thought this was harder than III but easier than vice... now for me III was the hardest gta game... this and SA were the easiest and VC was in the middle... I would blame that on the refinement of the controls and targeting systems in SA and LCS tho.
ATK
Didnt finish the game yet, im on the last island though. But you really cant say which game is harder than the other. Depends how you approach missions and stuff. But if you really think about it Vice seemes to be the easier of them all because of it was extremely short(or atleast it felt short IMO). The vice missions didnt put you up against a big challenge. There were less men shooting at you in missions, and I think the M16 made a HUGE difference. The gun shoots like 50x faster than the M4 and the columbians had it in the missions, which made it hard.

I'm not sure about the % or amount of increase, but yes your health does go up for doing each one of these "missions". The first one you do, you'll get a small + sign next to your health, smaller than the one next to your armor if you do Vigilante. For the second, the + sign increases in size, making the + sign the same size as the one next to your armor after you do Vigilante. I think it's unclear exactly how much these + signs increase your health/armor though. (maybe it's in one of the FAQs, but I try not to read any of them until I absolutely have to)
tommyalma
Scottendo got it right about the armor increases, etc. I have to say that LCS was the easiest of the titles I have (see sig), even on the PSP with the extra-crappy aiming. The missions are shorter and I already have had the city memorized for about five years. I expect VCS to be the easiest yet. Why was LCS the easiest? Simple: no "impossible" mission - missions that, even if you can do them in your sleep now, were the source of endless frustration and a few broken controllers. Examples: GTA3 had "Bomb da Base" and "The Exchange." VC had "The Driver." SA had impossible aircraft missions: "Supply Lines," plus the learning curve was steep on the school and "Vertical Bird" missions. LCS had nothing anywhere near that hard. Annoying, sure, but not impossible. Thing is, there was a learning curve for many of us on GTA3, so that was the hardest at first. I'd rank them from easiest to hardest: LCS, VC, GTA3, SA.
