JDesigns_Unlimited Posted June 6, 2006 Share Posted June 6, 2006 We are near the end of a 2 month long project modding the Rhino into the Sweet Tooth ice cream truck for VC and SA. This mod will involve a new model over the rhino. So far we have done most of the modding to it. Textures Gun Props A customized turret resembling the Psychotic Clown Fully original model put together from the SA Securicar and Mr Whoopie. Original Head Design from TripleAs So all in all I'm out looking for some help tweaking the hard coding for VC AND SA allowing the wheels to move on the rhino. Wouldn't this be done though the model in 3ds Max? At least thats what i would be inclined to think. I don't belive the models can be manipulated or screwed with through the games main.scm or hard coded code. It seams more likely to be somthing that is done through the models file. Krailer Posted June 9, 2006 Share Posted June 9, 2006 I'm not pretending to know anything about coding, so just take this as mere speculation... Would be simpler to code a normal vehicle (e.g. Securicar) so it could have a working turret as the Rhino? It would solve the turning wheels issue as well as the 12 wheels coded into the Rhino (although the second issue has already been dealt with). That would work, but I think he want's the "blow cars up on contact" effect of the rhino, like I did for my PEDS finale. My research* tells me that this is hardcoded to the rhino only, so I think he's probably better off figuring out how to turn the rhino wheels. *I only looked into this for Vice; I have no idea if this holds true for SA, although I thought that SA had a cheat for blowing up cars upon contact... PLPynton Posted June 11, 2006 Share Posted June 11, 2006 i wanted to say it is impossible to get wheels to turn without game engine change. well you will have to find some solution, meanwhile i will say that explosion upon contact can be done thru coding in few lines. one of my friends just as we speak is trying to make a copy of rhino with some structural changes. if he succeds we will share the knowledge with you. JDesigns_Unlimited Posted June 13, 2006 Author Share Posted June 13, 2006 Actually all we really want is the tank replaced so Sweet Tooths chase you around, We really don't care about the destroy cars on contact but it might be cool. But we just want The firing capabilities and keep the truck from being driven around by civilians, too many can ruin the whole idea.
