Life's A Beach Problems

When I approach the location of the sound van the game freezes every time. I tried replacing my modded Rumpo files with the originals, but that doesn't work. My San Andreas has many other mods including weapons and clothes. What could be the problem?

Most likely a conflict with one of the alterations made. Rollback all the files that you can besides script and main.scm. Besides those the other files can be replaced without having to start a new game.

Don't be so stupid. You've obviously identified that the modding is most likely the cause of the problem, so test it out. Re-install San Andreas (thus removing mods) and try the mission again.

I uninstalled all modifications; instead of the game freezing when I hit the beach, the game freezes after the beginning cutscene with CJ and OG Loc. I don't recall the game ever freezing at that point when I first played through the game (no mods), so maybe I'll just have to uninstall and reinstall. I'll see what happens then. If not, I could always jack one of my friend's computers, bad as they are for gaming.

Ok, I uninstalled + reinstalled and got past the mission OK. It's a pain in the ass to do this everytime theres a conflict though, that's why I asked if any particular mod was causing the problem

Perhaps if you listed the mods you had, we could have a better idea of finding the problem one. We can't see the files on your hard drive you know. Well, at least not without a lot of effort, time, and boredom.
