Can you also confirm if helicopters are in it? According to other sites I have visited today it’s available in Shoreside Vale, they didn’t say where specifically though. It’s just to clear up the picture IGN has in their review for the game, I believe they are not in the game and there was no mention from IGN in their video review. Natedogg. Posted June 6, 2006 Share Posted June 6, 2006 (edited) So far I will give you some info about the game I have seen. Performance-wise, the game is playable but very noticable for slowdown. It chugs but it's smooth enough to keep playing and to get past the fact that it runs about 30fps. The free-aim mode, ACK, this is terrible, you have to hold the target button and then click L3 and move the aimer reticule with the left analogue stick. And you cannot move whilst doing this, and you cannot do full circles around the character whilst moving completely to one side. Graphics, my complain is the jaggedness of the objects. From the screenshots, I've concluded that mine doesn't look anything like those, and I'm guessing it's because I have the regular AV cords for the PS2. I would have to update that part once my component cables come in from the mail. The game opens very nicely, presenting you with a variety of missions in a short period of time, which makes the game more open-ended and seem a bit bigger than the previous GTA's. All that I've noticed so far, but I have a really hard time seeing whats upcoming in front of me when I'm driving dammit. Can you also confirm if helicopters are in it? It's just a matter of time The gameplay is wonderful, didn't see much clipping in the game. The cops are assholes, I'm not sure if they made the cops harder in this one. But I can say they're a pain in the ass. hmm Graphics are awsome, I've seen screens from the psp version and this one is about twice as good graphics wise. The opening is kind of cool, good music in the opening. The radio stations are horrible, worse then all of them put together. The opera sation is the only good one on it. It dosent really feel like a "new" game to me. But its great none the less. EDIT: Well according to gtaportable.com helicopters are flyable as standard in the game. The one thing iv felt is taht you feel like youve been here, but you havent. Things are different, and the same, and thats good. Im gonna' run down some plus's for ya: Motorcycles Familiar Settings/Characters Handling a Job in the beginning A DIFFERNT GTA GAME lol But, there are a couple of downsides: The Cinema really takes a blow, i know, dont want to put too much into it, but hey...it looks very cheap lol The 'second hand' shooting or what not, pressing L3 in target mode. I do not like that...lol The missions, at first atleast, seem too easy. They probally will get harder, im only on the Mission of JD's so... Thats about it for me...the bikes are amazing. I remember in SA it really dropped obviously due to the masive size of the environment, but is it pretty good in LCS? Like, seeing buildings in the distance, cars spawing, etc... thanks!
