psuscuba
Hi, I just got the game and it keeps crashing on me randomly and rebooting my computer. I have a 2.26 Ghz w/ 512 mg ram and a 128 mg geforce 5500 video card. I don't have any mods. I tried installing nvidia's most recent drivers but they didn't help. I don't know what's wrong with it. every now and then it flashes a blue screen with writing, but it goes by so quickly i can't see it. Any help would be appreciated
Justin
Please read the pinned topics. I suggest you delete the SET file (again, see the pinned topics for information on how to do so), re-install, and change to Windows 98 compatibility mode.
psuscuba
Ok I tried deleting the set file and just about every option available in the compatibility options but it still crashes after about 5 - 10 min of playing. XP complains about recovering from a serious error and sends it error report to microsoft and it tells me this Error type Windows stop error (A message appears on a blue screen with error code information) Solution available? Yes What does this error mean? You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused the Windows operating system to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a "stop error." A stop error requires you to restart your computer. Cause A video adapter device driver Computer symptoms A message appears on a blue screen with error code information: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER - or - STOP: 0x100000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER_M I tried 3 different sets of nvidia drivers, the newest and the previous 2 I don't know what os wrong with it Thanks
