MiNdLeSs
Ok, So i'm getting this bsod error that says Bad_pool_caller. I googled it, and I find out that its from a driver or some other thing that is messing it up. "This occurs when a kernel-mode process or driver attempts to perform an illegal memory allocation and is generally do to a driver or software bug" Now how do I get into windows and fix it? I tried booting into safe mode, safe mode with networking/command prompt, last known good configuration, all of them. Those all quickly flashed the BSOD screen and then rebooted. I tried booring from the XP pro cd, and it was loading all of the files when it bsod'd and stayed up. That is how I got this stop error. How can I fix it? The full error message is Bad_pool_caller ***Stop: 0x000000C2 (0x00000007, 0X00000CD4, 0x00600074, 0x82bdc096) Edited June 5, 2006 by MiNdLeSs
SteakPhish
Does it specify which drivers are at fault, or does it give you a file name that is f*cking it up? Find out what driver it is and reinstall it, otherwise just reinstall ALL of your drivers....
MiNdLeSs
Well, I can't even boot into windows. I fixed it though. I tried to do a repair install, and it gave me a BSOD halfway through, a different error. I thought that was weard. I ran memtest and got some bad areas. I looked at the ram and it turns out that it was not seathed in all the way on one side . Such an easy problem. oh well, I fixed it. Thanks for your suggestion anyways
