Help with security van drivers please

Hey everybody, great board. Ive tried find an answer to this for hours.

 

when Joey gives me the van heist job I cannot get the van drivers to bail out no matter how hard I hit them. I've tried with cheats on cheats off, I've hit the van with a taxi, a hummer, the fire engine, the yellow diesel big rig, and one of the blue city buses.

 

This last time I flipped the van over on it's back right in front of Joey's place and they STILL would'nt get out. What up?

 

I have the GTA 3 in the double pack with GTA Vice City.

 

Can I skip this job for later somehow?

 

PLease help me out somebody.

Well for a start you need a strong vehicle to ram the securicar with so to limit the amount of damage you take, otherwise you may have to get a new vehicle during the mission, which takes up valuable time.

 

I'd suggest getting a Patriot, they have good speed and easy to handle. Get behind the van try and get an open space of road to get the first ram into its back, once you hit it the first time it will drive to avoid you and you'll have the cops on your tail.

 

A lot of people go for the pay and spray to lose it but I think it's easier to try and ignore the cops and keep ramming the van. As mentioned above try and stick by it and build speed for each ram to inflict more damage, keep an eye on the damage bar too, that way you can see how much your doing.

Yeah I've done that I used the fire engine, very strong vehicle, and a city bus and an 18 wheeler cab as well. I've had it on it's back completely overturned and still nothing. I don't know what a Patriot is. Can you describe it for me?

From what you've just said I think you have the wrong idea for the mission. You’re only meant to ram it enough so the drivers get out so that you can drive it back to the garage for Joey. Forcing it to overturn makes any vehicle explode and fails the mission.

I can understand how you might think that But I have done everything from ramming it in the rear, to driving it off the road, to ramming the hell ot of it. I mean from one end of the spectrum to the other. I know we just want to scare the guards enough so they bail out and run. so we can then toake it to a shop and get at the goodies inside. Not completely destroy it hehe. Although after the fifth try, I did use the rocket launcher on it.

 

I thought it might even be some special trick that you had to use JUST a car. Or only drive it off the road etc.

 

I'm at a loss here. My next try will be about the 18th try.

 

Can you manually enter games saves? I don't have a network card for my system yet, that's the only way I can see to get around this job and go on to another one.

Although after the fifth try, I did use the rocket launcher on it.

That would've destroyed it and fail the mission. That Securicar is only Bulletproof. Saintdave's reccomended method might still be your best bet, though you might be better off with the Firetruck since it's big and fast enough too to catch up with the van incase it tries to speed away.

yo man , i dont know watsup , there must be something wrong with a game you bought, you gotta keep your eye on the meter , if it goes down , you can take the securicar and park it to garage in the docks

I doubt there's anything wrong with his game - more likely his gameplay .

 

The idea in this mission is to ram the van enough so that the meter goes up - you can't really expect to hit it once and have it work. Generally the first time you hit it, it will speed up and try to escape. And the more you hit it, the more your wanted level will increase.

 

So to do the mission, get a Patriot (it's easy to handle, and tough, and resprayable) and just keep on ramming the van until the meter on the right of screen begins to fill up. When it's full, the driver will bail, and you'll be able to get the van and complete the mission .

Well use a strong veichle but do not use the rhino tank that will blow it up the drivers will get when it starts blowing out a kind of grey black smoke.
