Cran.
Just saw these, looking pretty good, but not sure about the Statesmans/Caprices rear tailights. Looks like something from a Lancer http://editorial.carsales.com.au/car-review/1806797.aspx
MindCorrupt
Looks okay I guess. Fronts an improvement, not really a good angle for making a decision on the rear. Falcons for the last couple of models IMO have looked better. Dunno if this is gonna change it for me
Mav.
It looks like a cross between a Ford Falcon, Toyota Camry and Mitsubishi 380 . Can't say it's anything amazing.
Jay
The front looks so narrow... I think it looks like the Aurion. I loved the straight edge brutality of the VZ. After my VS purchase later on in life, im going to get a VZ ute, regardless of my profession. "Yeah dude, my QC drives a VZ Commondore" "lolrly?" GTA3Freak-2001
That white one looks like a BA Falcon XR6 from that angle, I am not fond of it to be honest.
Duders
Reminds me of the Ford TS50 from Need For Speed... The design does look abit dated compared to most other car company designs to be honest. -duders

I'm pretty sure the TS50 was a AU falcon, Anyway I think the VE looks better than the old VY-VZ model, but IMO the VX was probably the best yet. SIP YEK NOD
Schedualed for a august launch looks like the world will soon see what the future of GM's cars are made of. that platform is going to be stuck under pretty much every gm car worth looking at (apart from the cts on the sigma, and vette on the Y platform)
Touge
The whie one reminds me of a Scion or Honda or something. Doesn't look very Commodore-esque at all. VX SS was probably the best looking Commodore for me.
Cran.
I must admit, some of those pictures make the proportions of the car look really weird. But I wasn't all that fond of the VY to begin with, maybe seening it in flesh will make it look a litteh better, eh? Hope the interior quailty is a little better, the VY dash is a bit plastic-icy. But with those big wheel arches, they just make anything look small. Those 20" on that ultra performance Commdore look like 17"s

Cran.
VT Clubbies were great! @Jayza I never quite liked the VS/VRs much, more a fan of the VPs. I like the headlights

Oh that's right, I had a feeling NFS HP2 was too old to have the BA but you gotta admit it looked nicer then the standard AU Falcon which I find just horrible looking. -slash
Is it just me or does the front of that white one look incredibly small and out of proportion to the rest of the car? The front reminds me a little bit of the Mazda 6, but from what I can see the rear looks more Commodore. The silver one looks the worst of the two. Mmm, not really liking either, more of a Ford person myself, but not a radical like the Holden people who will bust in here and hunt me down. As I mentioned before, it does look a little out of proportion. I think it's the angles, as these were taken via helicopter apparently. It'll be interesting to see what Ford come up with to compete against this, though.

Cran.
Holden definatly has in some aspects, like... RE BRANDED DAEWOOS... Be nice to see some official pics, or see this in the flesh.
Mav.
Holden and Ford just keep slipping downhill..... Really? I really disliked the AU yet loved the BA. Can't wait to see what Ford bring out next.
GTA3Freak-2001
No even though I am more a Holden fan I can even attest to Ford having the better quality cars. Holden's move to korean sourced Daewoo's being why Holden are slipping. Whoopie you can get a hatch back for $13,990, but there's a reason its 13k just look at the interior! Cran.
It's all down to that new American guy that's incharge. He's ruining Holden's image, getting rid of quailty European cars for cheap terrible Daewoos, and he wants to bring over even worse Caddillacs and Hummers... Holden should just atleast have a go at making a small car, instead of standing to one side and letting everyone else do it. FYI freakeh, GM has made the move for pretty much all GM brands in every country to get Rebranded Daewoos. Chevy, Holden and more get Daewoos now. GTA3Freak-2001
Yeah I know its not just Holden thats doing the korean crap tour of duty. Its like everything in this country, it seems its just easier to get things from other places then to build them or grow them here in our own country. Cran.
Actually, speaking of that, the VE has alot of Overseas components. Apparenlty to reduce costs, but i'd imagine they're doing it because they want the car to be very simular in price to the VZ. If they got mainly aussie-source parts, they'd end up having to jack the price up for it to be profitable.
Pump Bumper
i like it, i wish they'd bring them to america i also wish they'd show the Aussie V8 supercars races in the US...but thats another rant for another day.
Touge
The new Barina/Daewoo Kalos has actually been on the news in regards to their safety, i.e they're not very safe as far as crash scores go. That's cheap Korean cars for you though. And if you think they're bad, just wait until people start importing Chinese cars. Is it just me? or is everything from China a cheap knock-off? GM sued a Chinese company called Chery for their car, the QQ which is basically identical to a Daewoo Matiz. Then I've seen numerous other Chinese cars which blatantly mimic other designs. You want proof of this? google search a car called the Red Flag HQD (if you can find it) then go look at a Rolls Royce Phantom.

Audi, Mercury etc. They had a copy of the Towncar, even had the same engine.
GTA3Freak-2001
Drive.com.au just spotted one of the HSV variations of the new VE, at first they thought it was another VE SS or something but on further inspection it clearly is a HSV. Drive.com.au There's an article and also a video of it in action well kinda in action. Oh and it launches on Sunday too FYI
