TommyAngelo
I thought it was possible if you re-formated your memory stick? Was I wrong?

hellomotto08
THe firmware is stored in a internal memory source inside the psp. It is seporate then the memory stick. It is also behind a firewall (or somthing like that). The reason you cant downgrade is because of the firewall. Everytime you upgrade it gets harder to crack. This is why you cant use Cheat Device. The best thing to do is sell your psp and buy one on ebay with the older firmware.

Basically each time you run a game, it requires the correct encrytion key. Dont think about randomly guessing it, it would take forever... Older firmware versions did not require the correct encryption key, therefore allowing anything to run on it.
