My radio no worky?

I don't know... My radio tunes (with that tuning sound)... But when the tuning sound ends... No sound from the radio comes out... All the other sounds come out, like driving, talking, missions, etc... But no radio!!!!!... my user tracks are detected... But no music is played (I checked the txt file).

 

I've reinstalled windows twice... I have a creative audigy 2 zs which is UPDATED to the newest drivers available... WMP10 is installed...

 

So... I have.

 

Windows XP Professional X64.

eVGA geforce 7900GT 256MB

AMD 64 Opteron 165 @ 2.8 GHz

2X1 GB of G.Skill DDR500 memory at 255 MHz.

 

I do have Microsoft DirectX 9.0C, and GTA SA has worked on my computer correctly before... There are no pops, sound breaks, nothing but the radio is just not working...

2 simple things come to mind which are easily overlooked:

 

1. In Game options/audio - is the Radio level turned up.

2. When you installed did you select the Radio Stations to be installed ie Full install.

That wouldn't affect it - the radio stations are on the DVD by default. Minimal install just reads the audio off the disc rather than the hard drive.

 

Fact of the matter is that many warez copies of San Andreas are distributed without the radio stations. Reason being that it dramatically cuts down on file size. Buy the game if you've downloaded it. If you honestly have purchased the game, I suggest you delete the SET file found in 'My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files'.

that's happened to me before and all i had to do was press esc. to pause the game, then press esc again to go back to the game and the sound was fine n the radio. on my version, it only messes up on the user track player station.
