SloStenRacing
I just recently built a PC....almost all parts are new from NewEgg. All together, windows stable and running fine. Everything works but downloading programs from websites. I cannot download AIM. I cannot download Ad-Aware. It just goes to the downloading screen and goes no further than starting... in firefox or no bars of progress in IE. Can someone please help me? More information (almost any) can be provided if needed.

Wolf68k
Did you install the OS yourself or was it preinstalled? Are you a limited user account or an admin account?

Sixdust
Come on man, 3 karma and you knowingly triple posted? The only thing I can think of is the router/network setup/software, that is causing you problems.
just another thug
Do these three things and post it... 1) Post a link to your exact router 2) Goto Run -> type cmd -> type ipconfig 3) Tell us what it says
SloStenRacing
Come on man, 3 karma and you knowingly triple posted? The only thing I can think of is the router/network setup/software, that is causing you problems. Yes I have three stars as if that has anything to do with posting....but as long as things haven't changed since I was on here non stop early last year, you were allowed to bump posts up after a day. Yes the double post was a mistake that I realized after I clicked post but the triple was a post to bump my topic and see if someone who hadn't viewed it the first time around or missed it would be able to help me solve my problem. JAT- I couldn't get Lucent's site to load so this is the closest I could get for you ..... http://www.pcliquidations.com/item.asp?id=1172 Windows IP Configuration Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : IP Address . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .: 192.168.1.10 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1 Just discovered something EXTREMELY odd.....
