Connecting my PS2 using ICS

I have ICS enabled for my wireless connection on my laptop. I am connecting another machine to the ethernet port (using crossover). It fails to aquire a network address I think. After a short delay it says "Limited or no connectivity".

How do I get it to assign an address? Do I need to change a setting on my PC or other machine?
