They speak their minds and dont give a F**k if you like it or not, hence the song "surfacing"...overall its just their musical talent and overall attitude that impress me and just frankily i think of them as metal gods that shall go on until the ends of time... -kd69- RULES! 1.NO BASHING/FLAMING 2.RESPECT EVERYONES OPINION 3.JUST HAVE FUN WITH IT BEAT THAT HOE lol

ToyMachine
It's a tie between the Misfits and Cancerslug for me. I like the themes of the songs, I love the genre of horror punk and both put on great shows.
Mullen
My favorite artist would be Moodymann, also known as Kenny Dixon Jr. He makes a warm and funky mix of 70's soul, house and detroit techno, with a great use of jazzy samples, deep groovy basslines and soulful vocals. darthYENIK
CKY - Because of their amazing riffs and their want to change music before it destroys itself. AC/DC - They just seem to know what real rock is. Red Hot Chili Peppers - They are funky, melodic, and John Frusciante is amazing on guitar. imlostso
I couldn't possibly list all of my favourite bands, so I'll just name my top one. The Clash. Excellent band. What I really love about them was how they were so diverse in their music. They had some punk rock, some reggae, jazz, ect. Not to mention they had one of the best lyricists of all time, Joe Strummer. The vocals from Joe and Mick were awesome, Mick Jones' guitar was awesome, Paul Siminon's bass was stellar, and Topper Headon's drumming was spectacular. Yes, they are the best. Guglielminpietro
Oceansize - The way they integrate 3 guitars into their songs, all complimenting each other is a joy to behold. As is the distortion they use. And they are superb live as well. Cardiacs - 'Unique' is a word that doesn't quite stretch to describe them adequately enough. I can't begin to comprehend the minds that came/come up with their songs. dredg - The sounds they create can really take you away from yourself and from everything; musical escapism. soundcloud.com/TheDamnFineCoats

Hammerchuk
The Tragically Hip (thehip.com) I can't really explain why, I guess part of it is the fact that I can sit here and actually call them my favorite band, and listen to any song of theirs i've ever heard and enjoy listening to it. They've been together since like '83 and are still huge in Canada. Although they have changed somewhat over the past 23 years they've always managed to maintain the same style. I guess "progressed" would be a better definition than "changed"... They've put out: - 10 albums featuring 120 songs... - 1 live album featuring 14 of those songs... - - Hipeponymous collection featuring 2 CD's with 35 songs which were chosen by the fans, and 2 new songs that haven't yet been released... And 2 DVD's, One of those featuring all of their music video's and some other extras, and the other a being live concert in Toronto with multiple Camera angles etc... They are amazing in concert, seen them last summer when they were opening for The Rolling Stones and will be seeing them again on June 30th. They have no problem with fans recording audio or video of their live shows, infact they support it and even have a link to a fan-made torrent site on their official website. They've been playing some new material at their latest concerts so I can only assume that a new album is in the works in the near future. I like alot of the bands that some of you have mentioned, but when it comes to a favorite band, i'm sticking with The Hip.

Moonshield
I could play namedropper and list tons of bands, but I'll try to limit it to ten. Atheist Blind Guardian Carcass John Coltrane Death Emperor Enslaved Neurosis Opeth Ulver My favorite bands put out music that to me, is technical, progressive, and isn't exactly your ordinary formulaic, cookie-cutter music. Mister Pink
My fave band is not Led Zeppelin anymore but Kraftwerk. One of things I like about them is that they are pioneers of Electronic music. The visuals are great at their concerts. They sing about crazy stuff. Their latest album has a Tour de France concept. Their songs imitate life and various everyday sounds you hear. Like their song Autobahn or Trans-Europe Express. Also, Afrika Babataa( Planet Rock) Coldplay ( cant remember name of song) both used samples of Kraftwerk. This shows that all types of people listen to them. Also, U2 covered Neon Lights. They started in around 1969 and since have pattend synths/electronic struff. Now all round 60, they continue to make great music. Most people would be in their teens and 20's at a concert. Pretty good going for such an old band... Early years... Around 1978... Now...
