GTA_Loco Posted June 3, 2006 Share Posted June 3, 2006 If that guy was really telling the truth, and I don't mean to say that he's lying, the undiscovered "secrets" might lie somewhere hidden in a source code of the game that might require certain tasks to be performed inorder to unlock them. Somehting along the lines of that, they did not say big secret.Maybe they were gonna add a fog horn or maybe the fog horn was meant for Alcatraz island? For God's sake, Rockstar added in the foghorn for an extra effect for the rerelease of the game on the Xbox. And no, you won't find any ships in the water where this noise is coming from. It's just a random noise added into the game. There's nothing more to it, it's only a sound. Think of the lights you see in the sky for high-flying planes. They're just lights. If you fly up to them, they're still just lights. No planes anywhere around. Understand? The same goes for the foghorn sound. It's no "big secret" or coverup, it's just a foghorn. The closer you are to the middle of the bay, the louder it will sound, because this makes it more realistic, just like when you're closer to an explosion in the game, it will sound louder... but there are no ships. It's a cool effect, but Rockstar didn't want to add in large moving ships... too much of a hassle. So they added in the foghorn sound, as a cool effect, nothing more, nothing less. Alex. Exactly its been over what 3 years since the games been out and im just now finding out about this, and I know nothing either thats why its a theroy you idiot. And I think it leads to somthing cuz you dont just add a frog horn in the game and make no use of it, thats like having helicopter sounds but no helicopters makes no sense. And you need to get a life cuz your arguing about this when you could just leave us alone and let us disscuss, and I do have a life, I have work everyday and I get around 4-6 hours to do what I want so how about you grow up get a job and stop makin that grass mowin money and get real money. I found it at some foreign gta boards, but it's been proven legit by many users in "the big secret" thread, including me. The vid was released maybe a week after SA-PC was, and luckily, I was already in SF. The first time I tried it, I spawned at the Doherty savehouse in SF. It was night, but not 00:00 yet, so I spawned a Hydra, and flew over there. If I recall, it was a Tuesday or Wednesday in SA. When I arrived at Jizzy's, I didn't hear anything. I started running around, then I heard it. Scared the sh*t out of me too, lol. I didn't use any cheats, and the Hydra was just so I could get there before 00:04, that's when the foghorn noise started, I noticed. So you should be able to find it in SA-PC or SA-XB, no Acton Replay, cheats, or Gameshark required. Looking at the vid again, it's actually 00:40 when the airhorn sounds. I tried this several times, and it almost always happened in a 2 or 3 minute time period at 00:00. The author uploaded 2 videos, I simply pieced them together in Blaze Media Pro, and converted them to .mpg, so I could upload them to youtube. And as for stopping right before the foghorn:coincidence Foghorn 1-CJ is standing still when it sounds in the air. 2-CJ is still standing still, then you hear some car horns. I imagine that the author moved CJ away from the street, so those annoying car horns wouldn't get into the vid too much, confusing viewers. 3-CJ is standing still in a different area. 4-I imagine the author made CJ run so that he could show off the foggy surroundings. And honestly, do you think that stopping CJ would create an audio event SA? Do some .ipl research. That's just impossible.
