Kippers
I'm trying to set up a server on COD 1 and the person i want to play against keeps saying that he can't see the server on the server list and he suspects it's something to do with the 'dedicated' and 'pure' options on the server set up screen. Dedicated gives you 3 options. No, Lan and internet Pure gives you 2 options yes and no I'm really not sure what to do with them to make it so the server can be seen on the servers list. Any help would be awesome. 習うより慣れろ
Waste
Set dedicated as no. Set pure as yes. (Unless you are using cheats.)

Waste
Just to let you know what the settings mean. Dedicated; No: This will set it as a listen server where you can play as a client and have the server run at the same time. LAN: This sets it as a local area network server where it will not send it's information to the master servers and only operate for your network in your home. Internet: This will set it as a fully dedicated server and minimize your game. You can play on this server from your computer, but it will run them as a separate process. Taking more of your computer's resources. Pure; Yes: This makes it so cheats are harder to use. It does a file check on the files in your game's folder to make sure you have the same version and size files as the server. No: The opposite of the above. Setting it to this removes the file check and will allow cheats.
Kippers
Thanks for that again. i wish the instruction manual could have told me that to begin with. It sort of expects you to know everything somehow. 習うより慣れろ
