Jamming
What shouldn't and what should rockstar do with VCS. They shouldn't include a firmware version on the disc as that takes up wasted space. They should include flying, more cars, more missions, and use the dual layer technology for the UMD.

K^2
They shouldn't include a firmware version on the disc as that takes up wasted space. Because 32MB on a 1.8GB disk is such a horrible waste of space. could they do dual-layer with a umd? Could they make a dual-layered UMD? Yes. Will the PSP read it? No. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.

Because it would definitely suck if Sony were to take the path of allowing developers to make dual layer, I wouldn't be buying another PSP . DO: Include taxi after being wasted. Add swimming. [UTS]Blaze
Do - Add Taxi boosting when completing the taxi missions. Don't - Use made up songs.
crash2108
You could have it so you must flip the UMD over, or use two different UMDs however..
Andreas915
Although I don't own a PSP I'm still looking forward to this game's release as VC was my favourite GTA. I think that the biggest messup would be if they don't use licensed tracks. GTAIII was cool, but when VCS is truly going to be in the 80s, the madeup tracks are going to ruin it and if it is going to be set in a different era, I would still like to see some familiar tracks. The time will show what old characters are going to make a reappearance. And if Vercetti is going to appear in this title, I will not settle for another voice. I was a bit dissapointed about LCS. Although it is very belivable, that Ray Liotta isn't going to do voice acting for a PSP game and most likely they will have to replace the voice actor with someone else if they want to put Vercetti in. But I hope for the best. Vice City was packed with celebrity voices so there might be some surprises.

I think with LCS they didn't want to take the risk of using licensed music and then the game flopping badly. I think it was Ansoff that states diversifying is the riskiest strategy for a business. Now that the PSP games are a hit, and LCS was the best selling one, they may well spend more money on the game.

DON'T: - This says that the UMDs are already dual layered. The Disc: The system's UMD (Universal Media Disc) optical disk format has also been clarified a bit. A UMD is a 60 millimeter dual layered disk that can store up to 1.8 Gigabytes of data. So my guess is there might not be that many more features in VCS than in LCS. But i would at least like to see crouching added

Well we can't be sure it will be set in the 80's. If it were set before or after VC (86) then I'd expect different tracks from that era but a lot less available to listen to due to the PSP's limits. As for the do's and dont's, I personally think - Do - Add more interiors, and port to PS2. Don’t - Add swimming, eating and all the other recent extras. the_darkside_986
Do: make the vice city map a little bigger. GTA:VC map was just way too small. I know it's not their decision, but it would be nice if firmware was not included. I will not take any risk of bricking my PSP by upgrading to another firmware. I'll just buy the game for PS2 instead, since I'm sure they'll claim it's for PSP only and then decide to release on PS2 at some point in time.
