Wanted4Murder
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas was one of the best games to be released, and Microsoft is thinking about a movie. Check it out http://www.moviesonline.ca/movienews_2200.html IF there will be a movie, it´s gonna take a long time to come out. Kippers
I doubt it. Plus it wouuld suck and completely ruin the game with its crappiness. I personally hope it isnt true. Although they can go screw up Halo as much as they want 習うより慣れろ
lumpy.flippy
Sorry i veto this! This would seriously ruin the game's feeling and atmosphere i mean we already have a poly animated CJ and its gonna be pretty hard for me to picture another CJ in real life on screen probably looking nothing like the authentic CJ! No please dont rockstar!!!
Torcidas
I highly doubt it. The movie will just ruin the game. I suppose they could make a movie based on CJ's storyline, but it's something I'd act out, rather than watching it.
Mainland Marauder
Does Street Fighter: The Movie ring a bell to anyone? "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be."
.Victom
Wtf is with all the gay games to movies sh*t, we don't wanna watch a movie we wanna play the damn game. And a movie from Microsh*t is even worse.
GTA Life
This is f*cking stupid!....I had a bad feeling they were going to do this. Jesus christ, I'll never see it!...hell I wouldn't see any kind of GTA movie. If they did a movie it wouldn't be anything...it would suck...they would totally ruin the film they would make every GTA look bad. Because if they don't add a hud to the movie I won't see it. Simple as that...it has to be word for word also. I can see them doing it well...but they better have Rock Star behind it to do it...I want the same writers...not some dumb ass movie writer. pizzaguy
Yeah i'd rather like if there was a San Andreas Movie. With the actors which are also the voices of the characters in-game. Like CJ's voice is also the actor of the movie. Edited June 2, 2006 by pizzaguy
Brad
Yeah i'd rather like if there was a San Andreas Movie. With the actors which are also the voices of the characters in-game. Like CJ's voice is also the actor of the movie. I also think he looks quite like him too. Couldn't find a pic.
9Iron
If they were to attempt this, they'd be wise to stick to the more realistic Los Santos storyline. They really couldn't duplicate some of the more far-fetched elements that take place in the game, especially those in SF and LV. I mean, a homie from the hood chasing through the countryside, gunfights with trains from dirtbikes, blasting his way in and out of high-security military bases, skydiving and hi-jacking planes . . . it could turn in to some ridiculous comedy. Better to see the Wayans brother's "Don't be a Menace to South Central while drinking your Juice in the Hood".
numdmind
I personally think that video games that are made into movies are just a last ditch effort to make more money out of a dying franchise. Honestly, does anyone really like the movies that have been transformed from video games? I've spoken to a few people who do, but they were the type of people who watch any mindless dribble on the "big screen". Intelligent gamers for the most part appreciate a definitive line between their video games and their movies. It works both ways. I have NEVER played a video game that was based off of a movie that I enjoyed playing. I think the worst one is The Godfather game. That was horrible. The King Kong game, Lord of the Rings games, Spiderman, Hulk, Fantastic Four, X-Men, The Matrix, Aeon Flux, even the ones that are based on cartoons are usually awful games. I would think that people would learn...wait, no, Hollywood is just another corporation. And like all corporations, they feed they public ignorance and expect them to grow fat on stupidity. So, to sum up, if they make a movie out of the GTA series, I will lose all hope in mankind. The only video game to movie I would ever maybe see, (and this is a STRONG MAYBE) would be God of War, which I have heard rumors about, and it was mentioned in a Game Informer issue I read last year. Also, don't they already have several movies out there that are like GTA? ie: Goodfellas, Fast and the Furious, XXX, Gone in 60 (lame-ass) Seconds, Casino, Four Brothers...the list goes on and on, but I believe you get my point. Man that was long-winded.
Trace_Amounts
If they HAVE to I would like to see it done to the style of the game like animated to look like the game but more realistic looking. Get the same voice actors.
Jake
I liked Gone in 60 ("lame ass") Seconds, numdmind. That movie rocked the sock. A GTA movie though I'm not sure, maybe an animated one like the guy above mentioned on some kind of Rockstar dvd or in with a boxset for GTA: IV, but not a theatrical released motion picture.
