Plaka
I have windows XP, i dont know if i have SP1 or SP2, how do i check? Right click 'My Computer' / Properties - will display System details. You may have corrupt audio files or wrong DirectX version or Audio Drivers: Start/Run type"dxdiag" the bottom line should show DirectX 9.0c installed, if not update (its on your game DVD.) It would also be a good idea to complete the diagnostics Tests on each Tab to make sure your system can play all audio. Right click 'My Computer' / Properties / Hardware / Device Manager /"Sound, video and game controllers" right click on your Audio Controller and "Update Driver" Corrupt Audio files - un-install the game, disconnect from Internet, close all other programs including Anti Virus, reinstall the game. Good Luck

You won't lose your Saved Games when you reinstall, but you could always make a copy -- they can be found at: My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files\GTASAsf1.b (1 to 8 depending which slot you saved in.)
