Seddo
talking about animals, what about the old game that was on the SNES where you had to shoot ducks with the gun, that was a classic game and no one bothered or moaned about that. and there was a game where you hunted deers but i dont remeber the game. so why not have animals in GTA animals dieing is part of life. Eagleheart
It definately needs swimming, all that beach and it kills you if you freakin touch it. House customization is always something I wanted to see, I thought you would be able to do it in SA what with all the burglery missions and all. It would be cool to go into shops and but T.V.'s and chairs and stuff. That would also make people want to do the side missions more for extra cash to buy stuff. AgentX7k
I don’t really expect anything ‘new’. Although LSC did add some new missions I liked – Trash Master and Car Salesman Missions so I guess we can hope for something’s that haven’t been any GTA yet to be in this game. I like the idea of jet skies because I like vehicles like the motorbike (my favorite land vehicle) and I loathe all the boats in GTA except the fasted ones, and I can barely stand them most of the time. The other category is ‘Things that weren’t in LSC, but were in VC and SA’. Things that I expect to be in Vice City Stories * Helicopters – They add so much more freedom to the experience and we really see how much easier they make things after you can’t use them. I’d like to see Jets too if they could fit them in. * Multiple Save Points – Another annoyance, having to travel back to the same place on an island no matter where you are on it. I’d like to ability to buy assets, another advantage of that is money would have more use. * Crouching – Useful and I’d rather have it then not * Customizing * Police Bikes * Hovercrafts * Arcade Games – I loved them in San Andreas, really fun and really gave you something different to do. Things that I’d like in Vice City Stories (but understand if they’re not) * Swimming – I don’t like having to find things underwater but I hate dying from falling in it. Maybe they could just add surface swimming or something. * Parachutes – Even if they don’t expend the air height from Vice City I’d still like parachutes, I think they would still be helpful. mc_chris
swimming is a must. there is so much water in vice city. nice beaches(hope the beach is smaller) that you can swim at. it is a tropical place and when your in a tropical place the one thing you do is swim what is your problem man ? do you want the city to be * compressed * why every place in the city has to be * used * it makes me say that they should eliminate the junkyard too they should make the beach bigger and yeah they should make some night clubs on the beachfront

Forthly- Don't bitch about me you junkyard hating night club on the beach loving ... um...Guy

CaliMex
VCS must have swimming since VC has beaches. Peds should also be able to swim and not just peds who are involved in missions (like the Beat the Cock races in SA). Hovercrafts would be nice to have as well as new interiors that you can walk into just like your safehouses and the bank in VC. The beach was a big waste of space and there should at least be some more businesses that operate out of huts on the beach. More peds should also be seen walking on the beach in the upper right hand corner. In the first VC game not that many peds showed up in that portion of the map. Customizing your cars should also be a must. I want to be able to customize a Sabre Turbo. One more thing is the parachute. I like base jumping and I also try to open the parachute at the last possible moment with out dying. Like with LCS, VCS should have the same camera that was implemented in SA. It made drving easier even it was difficult using the R3 joystick while driving. From the old VC, you should be able to crouch and walk like in SA. The clothing system should be like SA but improved upon to make selecting clothes easier. I think that bringing back stats for weapons, driving, piloting and running would be great. Acquiring a better a better aim and then having the ability to dual wield some weapons was awesome in SA. When you drove and piloted a plane you couldn't really tell if your character made any improvement but they could improve that. When you rode a motorcycle you could tell that you were getting better when you started to fall off less and less. In all of the GTA games, the main characters would get tired quickly after running for a bit but when you make progress in the game you can sprint for longer periods of time (unless you completed a mission for unlimited sprinting). There's probably more but I wrote too much today on this board. I'm tired. Nighty Night unless it is in the afternoon where you are.
kirkwood
I think that everyone is forgetting that a UMD only holds 1.8GB and they couldn't even fit the rooftops of Liberty City on it so how can you expect there to be most of the features that SA had, unless i misseda new dual density UMD then this just isn't possible
Drumbum1234
they didn't put rooftops on in lcs beacuse u couldn't fly.... and BTW lcs only took up 800mb......Thats what i heard

Anyways, back on the topic, I think we should have a new kick-ass hidden vehicle. And I hope that vehicle is a submarine, because VC has really nice water. There should be stuff on the sea floor to check out.

Gardias
I think they will work in steps for the PSP GTA series, just like they did with the PS2. In GTA 3, they were just trying things out, as it was there first one. In GTA: VC, they could incorperate more, because they knew more, and in GTA: SA, they coul dhave even more. I think it will work the same way with the PSP GTA's. Other then that, the main things I would love to see are: - Swimming - Car Modification - More secret places to explore
ATK
It was probably said alredy in the topic, but they most likely wont add anything new. They will probably have flyable helicoptes this time around maybe. Just like LCS they are using the VC engine Thats why in LCS you had bikes. SA had a totally new engine which is why they had all these new things. Just expect what ever was in LCS.
xFinch713x
i definately think VCS should have swimming, jet ski's, and skateboards. Ever since the bikes in SA, ive always wanted to see skateboards. In VC, there were little houses in the sea, that u had to take boats to, but id like to see bigger ones if not a secret island WAY off the coast. Cant wait till this comes out

tekkenfreek233
I've read through this topic and what I'd like to see is: *Surface Swimming *Helicopters *A Longer Game *More secret places *More Interiors. *More Vehicles *Public Indecency Maybe in the swimming part, you could swim away from the map but you could still see the shore cause the limit is a good idea. VC wasn't like San Andreas, where it could go on forever and ever. I don't see why VCS would be that way as well. I'd also like to see that little feature in San Andreas where you could press O to tell CJ not to get into that car. I used it all the time, seeing as CJ would always steal the wrong car! I'd love to see it end up in VCS. -Eric EDIT: And by Public Indecency, I'm referring to what CCPD said on the first page where the character can take a piss from time to time in public. Except, I'd like it to be in public or private. Private being just walking into a bathroom stall and walking back out. Public would probably be peeing on a tree or in a bush. Or, of course, holding it too long would make you wee yourself. I'd say just more than one ped would laugh at you, though. Afterwards, you could beat the crap out of them! gregandrews
rollerblades, or skateboards, and you have to be able to use any weapon on it, imagine bombing down the street on rollerblades / skates/ skateboard with a chainsaw or katana and hacking everyone down, it was a bit of a let down to see one of the first screenshots of VC (the postcard) had a woman with rollerskates on only to not be able to use them when the game came out, make up for that let down pleeeeeeease
MJ2k
I expect to see both flight and swimming in VCS. It was clearly demonstrated using CheatDevice that flight is possible. There's very little work that would need doing to VC's map to add flying and swimming. All of the building were solid, and they had to model the sea bed since the water was transparent. So flight is pretty much a deffinate, as for swimming they just need to make the sea bed they've already got solid and make whatever changes to the engine are necessary for swimming. And if they didn't want to do that, they could just let you swim on the surface without being able to dive under. If you fell in to the water you'd just come to the surface automatically. Musicker
Animals have been in games for years, and I don't really remember any controversy over this subject. Resident Evil-Blowing zombie rotweilers away. MGS3-Plenty of wildlife in the jungle CS-Chickens.. Sure there are others I don't remember about right now...oh yeah, Deer Hunter. And let's not forget the king of animal based violence...Postal 2. You can piss on animals, you can kick them, you can shoot them, you can even throw gas on them, followed by a lit match. Damn, I can't wait to reinstall this game. I don't want animals in VC, but I would prefer wild animals in GTA 4, in the wilderness, rather than pets. Who could say no to a huge shark out at sea? Sasquatch? Come on. Maybe a solid shark with animations that could attack you wouldn't be such a bad idea for VC Stories. You are correct sir. One other game that I recall had killable animals was Carmageddon 2. It had dogs that you could splatter all over the landscape. I don't think there would be as much outcry as some people think. It's not as if the pixellated animals are any more real than the pixellated people you can kill in all kinds of violent ways. All they'd have to do is put a disclaimer in the beginning - "No animals were injured or killed in the making of this video game". (grin) It's pretty silly that people can be so paranoid, but they definitely exist. Musicker
neitherine
I have no idea i this has been said before because i dont come here that often, But more open areas. It probably wouldnt be possible due to the lack of memory capabilities, but SanAn had the forest and such, why couldnt VCS have things like that? Say you could go into the gangs headquarters and explore the rooms and such; i think that would provide for some interesting moments. Get caught and they lock you up or something and you have to escape. Still, i dont know if its possible...
TheDude5000
If you're talking about adding countryside to VC, that wouldn't really be a good idea. I think they should add more interiors, and a few islands. And don't give me any continuity error BS, they had no problem remodeling the land above SSV.. LC 44
Well, in every GTA, there's always been something 'new'. GTA3 brought Grand Theft Auto to 3D. Vice City gave helicopters and motorcycles, and San Andreas had TONS of new things? What do you think should be the new thing for Vice City Stories. It can be narrowed down to PSP, like Jetpack, or Swimming. But you can also say completely new things like Submarines, Hovercraft, House Customization, etc. Tell me your thoughts -Sqez It could have nothing except a little modified environment LCS was totally stripped GTA3, VC, and San an giveth .....and LCS taketh away
