deadman28
I think we need a discussion page where members of the forums share their jokes with other members. This will be obviously under the community topic. I think this is necessary because we can then be shared with happiness and delight due to how funny the jokes are. Another idea could be when the members have read the joke, they can then give a rating of the joke as other members in the forum can then understand how funny the person is who made up that joke. This page will also be helpful when choosing the funniest member of the forums each year. What do you think of this idea?
Justin
when the members have read the joke, they can then give a rating of the joke as other members in the forum can then understand how funny the person is who made up that joke. Ratings are subjective and encourage spam. It should be up to the individual to decide who they think is funny and who is not. That said, I'm not completely against the idea. I'd say a singular topic in General Chat would be sufficient. I think we had one a while back. It wasn't overflowing with quality, but not much really is in Gen Chat anyway. Raindancer
I would say the same, make a single thread in gen chat where you can drop your jokes into. I dont think it should be soley used to find GTAF's funniest member as 'funny' is more than just jokes.
Mainland Marauder
I dont think it should be soley used to find GTAF's funniest member as 'funny' is more than just jokes. Especially when most of the jokes that would go into such a thread would likely not be original to the poster(s). Not that I'm against the concept of a joke thread in and of itself; no ratings, just a venue for people to share jokes.
