Since nobody here can answer questions, I will...

A bit is short for “binary digit.” It is basically how a computer stores and makes references to data, memory, etc. A bit can have a value of 1 or 0, that’s it. So binary code is streams of 1’s and 0’s, such as this random sequence 100100100111. These bits are also how your processor does calculations. By using 32 bits your processor can represent numbers from 0 to 4,294,967,295 while a 64-bit machine can represent numbers from 0 to 18,446,744,073,709,551,615. Obviously this means your computer can do math with larger numbers, and be more efficient with smaller numbers.

Do you get the main idea?

32 bit means the cpu can handle twice as many bits per clock cycle as a 16 bit.

Pretty much, but he was asking the difference between 32 and 64bits... lol

CPU clock speed does determine if a CPU will be 32-bit or 64-bit. There are a lot of Intel 32-bit CPUs that are 3+GHz.

So let's just dispel that myth right there.

Well millermagic's idea still applies. A 64-bit is twice as fast as a 32-bit.

The 64-bit has more storage space than the 32-bit does. When I say "storage space" I don't mean RAM or HDD, this is the memory on the CPU itself which you can't increase yourself like you can with RAM or HDD. Also this is not the L1, L2 or L3 cache size either.

Trying to the explain the real differences would be vert technical and end up going way over your head.

I do have a question for you though.

Why can't you spell correctly? Why all of the jive-a** short hand for some words and yet others are spelled out perfrectly.

You're luck I was able to understand that garbage enough other wise I wouldn't have bothered to reply. I would have just looked out and said a few choice words (not that kind I care to share in the forums) and just moved on.

You less than half-a**ed asked a serious question that you really want to know the answer to. So ask it like you're serious. But the way you did it there's no reason I should have taken you seriously and why I gave you a half-a** answer (and be thankful you got that).

@GTA3Rockstar

I'm a computer geek....I think that's pretty obvious. But even that made me ask, "What the hell did he just say?"

Read above as to why that was too far out there for this guy

I found it very explainative and not hard to understand but thats what most people like us(computer knowers) think but to others its a different story... lol

Just get a 64 bit - much better but suffers many compatibility issues
