Mainland Marauder
If it's like the older versions I've used, use the clipping tool to "cut out" whatever you're wanting to cut out of the background, save it separately, then open your new file. The background will be gone. "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be."

Rob.
Ok, i'll show you a guide to all the types of transparency that'll work on here, first off the one you requested, transparency .PNG Transparency 1 2 3 Those blue and white checkered squares indicate, when saved, those area's will be transparent. 4 When saving, always save in .png form for the best transparency, the type that only Fire Fox can view. Finished Result Normal .GIF's 1 Finished Result Personally I don't think these look very good, as you get the jagged areas.
Rob.
.GIF's for web 1 2 3 The picture should look like this, with a horrible jagged edge around the sides. However wehn placed on the web on GTAF's forum skin: Finished Product It looks a lot better as the other .GIF and universally, in terms of other user's internet browsers is more sound than the .png. I would personally use the latter method as you can also add animation, like the one in my current sig. Hope that was of some use, have fun Edited May 31, 2006 by Rob_UK
