pancrack
athlon 3.5 64 1 gig ram geforce 6,600 I can't get the right anologue stick to work on my gamepad when playing San Andreas. All the other controls work fine but I can't use the right stick. This is awkward for looking around and aiming while shooting. The gamepad works fine in all other games and in windows game controller setup it is fine too. I've got 2 controllers for my pc and they both have exactly the same problem in San Andreas. I've been through all the game's controller setup options but I can't find anything. Anybody have any ideas of things to try? Thanks. by the way, the controllers are a Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Anologue and an Xbox controller with a converter to plug into usb. As I say, both these controllers work perfectly in any other game.
quartet1977
have you tried the san andreas advanced control v 1.2? it might be just what you are looking for. hope so!
the_darkside_986
I'm not the only one with that problem, then. On my game-elements recoil USB controller, the right analog stick works sideways and the D-pad buttons can't be mapped to in GTA:SA. I guess I will give this SA:AC program a try the next time I play SanAn on my PC.
pancrack
I sorted this problem out now... I had to go into the windows game controllers thing and change the right anologue settings from rx and ry to z and rz. Once the right anologue was set to z San Andreas used it as free look. I suppose this depends on you having a windows controller setup utility that allows you to change the button mappings. I'm using an xbox controller with a converter to usb and XBCD software. pancrack
Also, Mr Darkside, to make your d-pad work you have to use the afore mentioned controller setup utility and change the d-pad from POV to buttons, then San Andreas sees it as just another 4 buttons.
