Visual Style help?

I need some help now.. I want my theme to look like the image below, but I have no idea how to now. It changed to that after restarting once and I have no idea how to get it back. It isn't the normal windows classic theme. It is something else. My friend had it on his laptop, too. I think it happens when something gets messed up. Anyway, I left it on for the day and I actually started to like it, but now I can't get it back after testing another theme. Is there any way I can get it back?

Well, I think you had the Silver theme of the "Windows XP style", and for some reason, Windows didn't load it and used the alternate "classic" version of it (Display Properties -> Appearance -> Advanced).

 

Anyway, if you want to use the classic Windows look and fell, just go to Display Properties -> Appearance and choose "Classic Windows style" in the "Windows and Buttons" combo box, then you can use the combo box below to change the theme to suit your needs (if you want to customize it, click on the "Advanced" button).

 

I hope that helps (and if the names are not correct it's because I'm using a non-English Windows version... )

It's not the same thing as the normal windows classic. It's slighty different. It's not blue at all, and the taskbar is a little bigger. I have no idea how to get it though and it's really bothering me

That is the windows classic look.

You just have to mess about with the advanced settings to get it exactly like that.

You could try right-clicking "My Computer," go to "Manage," Services and Applications --> Services, then find "Themes," double-click it, change "Startup Type" to Disabled, and press "Stop" right below it.
