I've been playing NSF Most Wanted lately. In EA's game they have telephone booths that you can run over. While my brother was playing his game, and he ran over one of the phonebooths, I instantly thought it would be a great "mobile easter egg" for GTAIV. Who frequents a phonebooth not for phone calls on a regular basis, in the comic book world? Clark Kent. I thought it would be funny if one of either the pedestrians was totally indistructible just walking around, or industructible while changing into Superman( hitting him in the phonebooth or on the street will instantly kill the car when you find this egg). This idea sounds awesome! Seeing the some old city's rendered in the next generation would really be something really interesting. I didn't realise it was a pre-requisit to say why when submiting opinions. My appologies. I feel that involving superheroe's in the game as an easter egg would lower its standard in comparison to previous instalments. (that better?) Jake Posted May 30, 2006 Share Posted May 30, 2006 haha..do Rockstar know about the bigfoot thing that went on with San Andreas? man even I looked for that thing for atleast an hour all together, at night, in the woods..it was a creepy feeling actually, the ghost cars didn't help stop that feeling much. ..and yea Simon I think it'd be cool, but I dunno bout 3D rendered cities unless we are able to fly/drive a boat to them! A cool easter egg might be some kind of newspaper somewhere with news about a past GTA character since we have no idea what happens to any of them really, but that would depend on the time period...but whatever easter eggs are in GTA: IV I'm sure theyll be awesome. The greates one of all time..ok it would be in a back of a building somewhere...not outside. And you would only be able to see it on a mission into the building. The message would be..."Don't mod this game please the others were modded way too much" Not that I'm saying that mods suck...I love mods...but seeing a message on a wall as an easter egg in a GTA would be funny seeing. I didn't necassarily think that Superman would be in the game. I may not have been very clear on it or added enough detail on my visioning. And honestly I don't see where it said that I thought that it would be Superman. I think your the kind of guy that can't watch fictional movies and or cartoons without saying, "That could never happen." Your opinion is ok with me Austrailia, but don't expect me to support a GTAAustrailia if you are the main arguer. What I came up with would be funny(perhaps I'm the only one who thinks so) and give people a better reason to run over the pedestrians and the pedestrians using the payphones. If not better then one more good reason to runover the peds. And since it would be a mobile easter egg, you might have fun finding him/her again and again and again. Just imagine also how the criminal element for your wanted status and such as it is in GTA, if you exposed the secret identity of a superhero in the manner of Superman. At Jake Breaker, that would be a cool idea too. Perhaps you could see the Candy Suxx chest on the side of the building from a far distance. I like the ideas so far. I guess I wouldn't mind seeing bigfoot here and there. BTW, was bigfoot only on the PC versions? and the thing with the ghost cars? I love the type of eater eggs that tells who designed the game or the levels/maps for the game or games. LIke the one in Liberty City, near where you killed the dopeheads. The easter egg( if it was an easter egg) was behind the wall and said, "you're not supposed to be here." Those are some of my favorite kind. I would love to see this kind of easter egg in gta4. I think R* should put a lot more easter eggs in IV so there is still something to do after finishing the game. I'm not in support of GTA being set in Australia. (reason - it would suck) I don't appreciate people altering my posts (reason - just coz) Perhaps I miss understood your post as meaning Superman would be in the game - which it sounds like you would enjoy - just as you have mistakenly come to the conclusion that I am in support of a Grand Theft Auto set in Australia. Well, that also made me think of one more easter egg. This one would depend on the time setting though. But, what if one of the phone booths teleported you to a real world environment for about 10-20 seconds. I was thinking something along the lines of the Matrix except when teleported you are not neo but maybe Bill and Ted who have been playing the game all along. Something like that.
