GTA_Gangsta' Posted May 27, 2006 Share Posted May 27, 2006 Ok i just bought SA ver 2 for PC and i tried gettin a 100% save and everytime i load it the game crashes, so i used the patch to downgrade it to ver1 and i tried using a different and the same save and it still crashes, any suggestions? Assuming you mean the MTA downgrade, that only changes the exe and so you'd still need a version 2 save since the scripts remain version 2. Some questions: a) are you certain the 100% save is a version 2 save and not a version 1 save? b) can you start a new game and play? If so, can you save, quit, and then reload your own saved game without a problem? c) have you done any modifications at all to your copy of SA (aside from the downgrade)? I think it is the MTA one but i even downloaded a save game from GTA Garage i think and it said it was ver2, but yea i can start a new game and save and load it just every save game i download never works. And you definitely have not modified your main.scm and script.img? Let's try an experiment. 1) Try to load this save, and tell me what happens: http://www.mikehealan.com/gta/mission_saves/savefile1.zip 2) Then try to load this save, and tell me what happens: http://pdescobar.home.comcast.net/gta/temp/1.zip If the first one works, then you somehow have version 1 script files and will need a version 1 save instead. If the second one works, then you definitely have version 2 script files and I don't know why the 100% v2 saves you've tried fail. Can you post the exact links of the ones you've tried? Here, try this one. I haven't had a chance to test it myself, but if it's not 100%, it should be darned close.
