scabo19
Up until recently, my internet kept on cutting out every few hours or so.When i ran ad-aware se and spyware doctor, it behaved normal for 2 days. Then the prob starts back so i run spyware doctor and it found and removed a trojan(one that points your dns to blah blah blah) that I had removed the last time i ran spyware doctor which means it came back. Now my internet cuts out and doesn't come back at all until I restart the computer(well I dont have patience to see if it comes back on its own). One more thing.I noticed this(the one above that is under internet gateway) to the top of my network connections and I've never seen it b4 so i was wondering what it is:
Wolf68k
That's because you listened to Spyware Doctor. It is known, atleast to some, to report a number of false positives. Stick with Ad-Aware and Spybot. They are free and I have yet to hear of anyone getting a false positive from it. I was watching a video podcast the other day and this so called expert from PCMag said that Spybot is getting old and because it's not keeping up with spyware, and then suggestioned another program (which you'll see why in a minute why I won't bother to mention it, so I'll just call it "program"). Well I'm willing to try something new when it comes to spyware, some times. First off it reported no real spyware on my system. However it did report a good number of other "threats". It listed FlashGet. Why? Because it uses a BHO which is something that intergrates itself in with the browser, in this case to watch for you clicking on download links so it an offer its self to be used to download the file with. This "program" wanted to quarantine FlashGet like an anti-virus would do to a virus. It listed a remining registry entry for eDonkey2000 that I had installed as a threat, but it was just the fact that it was eDonkey that it was it saw it as a threat. It listed a number of completely save DLL files because it's home database doesn't know what the file is for. And it just got more moronic from there. Spyware Doctor should have a restore feature. What ever it did in the past restore it.
