garetheves
Just reinstalled GTA after many years and having a few probs running it on my machine. Needless tosay its good enough to cope, but if i run it with frame limiter on it is so slow its unplayable, but if i turn it off it becomes to fast to play. Anyone else had this problem and knows how to fix it. Cheers Gaz
TWA
yes, i have that problem. some claim that R* have fixed it in the free version; http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/ (didn't work out for me, but it's worth a try)
Sektor
Did you try lowering sound acceleration? Go to Start > Run > dxdiag Click "Sound" and then move the slider down from full to basic. Use F11 to change resolution. Don't push alt tab during the game because it can be very slow when you go back to it. I think xfire can mess up GTA1 and maybe some other always on top programs. Scarface4ever
Thanx mate! That 'lowering sound acceleration' helped. But I got another question. how to run the music cd in that game???
