GTA: Blood Odyssey

Recommended Posts

Okay, I just started in GTA Forums, and since I'm very experienced in RP Forums, I just want to make a good first impression on the forums, at least.

This story is about a man torn apart by the dirty dealings of several gangs in GTA 2. I decided to make GTA 2 my setting because people seem to forget about how Rockstar was able to make a good fictional story of the near future.

Oh, just as a reminder, the first chapter is just quite short (it is just delving into the setting's description), because I need opinions from each of you, the readers first before I continue. If you want to be in the story, PM me.

--Chapter 1: The Roll Call [This Post]

The damp streets of Anywhere City were filled with citizens walking to and fro, minding their own business. The sleek electric cars pass through, although they were'nt really used to their full potential, as the constant traffic rarely gives a driver a chance to ram the acceleration pedal. Above, the perpetually dark skies seemed immobile, and the dark clouds stood still, perhaps due to the thousands of chemicals released by...everything else. People did'nt care, since they made it that way themselves, anyway. Life was an urban nightmare...just the way the oportunistic men of power life it. Welcome to virtual insanity.

Night time has always been the time when the urban wasteland of the Downtown District really shines. People littered the streets, looking for stimulation, which they desperately yearned for every night. Prostitutes were everywhere, but they wer'nt as 'highly-demanded' as they were in the 90's. It was changing times, and people nowadays were looking for illegal substances. Of course, there were alot of people and syndicates who were supplying the mal-adjusted populace, aswell.

The Zarelli Area was the center of drug trade. In here, the Zaibatsu Corporation and other small-time syndicates literally tear each other apart, just to get their customers supplied. Also in here was where a man was soon to become one of the most influencial person of the times.

Coming out from a rundown apartment near the docks, a man wearing a hooded vest and black courduroy pants walked into the streets. He crossed a couple of streets, before stopping in front of an abandoned bar with the doors locked up. he pressed the intercom and approached the speaker.

??????: Damaso..

The sound of locks being opened was heard, and in a few seconds, the door opened.

????: Right. You're late, frenchman. Get in.

Damaso: You know Reno, having your home as a meeting place is unfair.

Reno: Shut up, get in.

Inside the abandoned bar was a mess. Cartidges, beer cans and tons of newspaper littered the floor. There were 2 billiard tables in the middle, and it was the only thing that can be seen in the dark room. Two other guys were sitting on the table, playing a game of cards. Radio was on, tuned into KGBH, Reno's favorite radio station.

Damaso: Never knew pool tables are for playing cards. So...what's up..

Reno: The Zaibatsu wants to clean up Zarelli..

??????: Did the world turn upside down? They wanna clean up?

Reno: Clean up Zarelli of people like us. You know Zaibatsu would never clean up on drugs, Ripley.

Ripley: I just thought it was too good to be true, Reno.

Reno: They wanna take over and monopolize drug trade in Zarelli. They feel Zarelli is their "responsibility". Heard it from my messenger who saw the Z-Men doing a drive-by on a couple of dealers yesterday.

Damaso: So, why'd you call us all up?

Reno: Cause you work under me, and I need to keep the Z-Men off my turf, that's why.

Reno leads a small-time syndicate in the west Zarelli area. His gang is based off of selling drugs to the destitute people of the city, and he treats the abandoned bar as his headquarters. His small-time business flourished until the Zaibatsu Corp. moved into the area and sold their drugs. Although Reno did not mind them moving in, the Z-Men still saw him and the other businesses around Zarelli as a threat. Damaso worked for him since he flew over to Anywhere City from France, and since then Damaso was Reno's part-time transporter.

Reno: I have too much sh*t in my plate, so I want you guys to meet up with this hired killer by the name of Claude Speed.

Ripley: Why not do it ourselves?

Reno: Because I need all of you to give a warning to the corporation, and I tell you, only a few people could do that.

Indeed, only a few people or organizations crossed paths with the Zaibatsu, and only a few of them were still standing. Most people who thought they could literally disappeared.

Reno: Go and shoot off the head of a certain Victor Cortez. Victor Cortez is head of the Zaibatsu's "Ground" Operations, so...you're gonna need the help of Mr. Speed for that. He's in the church in Avalon..use my Jefferson.

Reno took out his keys from his pocket and threw it towards Damaso. He drove Reno's car more than once. Reno trusts him enough. Besides, if Damaso wanted a car, he could easily steal a good sports car from the University Compound, where the snobby rich kids, who looks as healthy as the people who once lived in the 90's, hung out.

Ripley: I'm in. We're the only guys capable of pulling sh*t like this anyway. Leo, get your ass off the table and throw those cards away. I'll buy you a better deck of cards once we're done with this.

Damaso: Let's go.

Leo: Yo frenchie, you driving again?

Damaso: You suck at driving, Leo. Only thing you're good at is either taking Zoon-Zoom, or cheating in poker.

Claude Speed? Rumors say he's a hired mercenary who has ties all over the city, but that was all they knew. It did'nt matter, Reno's decisions are usually right anyways. It was just another job, and another way to earn more cash, other than working part-time at Tarbrush Cafe. That was how life was. If you disagree to this way of life, you'll be considered a retard.

Damaso, Ripley and the other two went through the backdoor into Reno's garage. Ripley opened the garage door, and Damaso started the black Jefferson sedan. They all sped off towards the center of the city, the Avalon Area.

Thanks for the positive feedback, which means I am doing something right, but suggestions are even better. If it is a suggestion to the storyline, or if you want to be in the story in a cameo or something, PM me instead.

Just a note, I'm not going for the "Ooh, I'm like Tommy Vercetti, see me kill hundreds of people." I'm going for the more good-but-not-that-godly character.

Once again, thanks, and I will start working on Chapter 2.
