spyro_ie
Don't know if this has been discussed before, more than likely it has. Has anyone heard anything specific about this movie, I mean like characters or actors, storyline even? Really can't wait for it. Fingers crossed either David Hayter or Hugh Jackman plays Snake.... ManFromMars
Just did a quick look around google and I can't seem to find anything about the storyline or who is playing the characters. But I think they would probably use the same sort of story line from MGS.
PHRobertson
There has been talk about the possibility of a Metal Gear Solid film since it came out back in '98. As for who plays Snake, I think Kurt Russell would be a likely choice, as it was his 'Snake Plissken' character from 'Escape From New York' that inspired the FOX-HOUND agent. spyro_ie
Well Hideo Kojima announced that there will be a Metal Gear Solid about a month ago, but thats all I heard about it. Regarding Kurt Russell, I think he might be a bit old for all that lark now, unless they go for an old Snake. I'd like to see Donald Sutherland play Ocelot, I think he'd be perfect for the part, just imagine it.
Jordan
Solid Snake ^^^ LOST's Josh Holloway. Case closed. Thank you. Good night. End of discussion.
da gta master
MGS movie? Bloody hell, that will (probably) be excellent Josh Holloway looks a lot like Snake, he's almsot perfect for the part. Hell he sort of sounds like Snake aswell.
spyro_ie
I heard him suggested before, and I must say he would be a possible contender. I thought about Tom Jane but I'm not sure. Ocelot all the way, just lose the beard and leave the tache, tie the hair in a pony tail. Perfect .
MrLorenzo
Bruce f*cking Willis.
spyro_ie
Bruce f*cking Willis. For what character. I can't imagine him as Ocelot or Snake!
MrLorenzo
Bruce f*cking Willis. For what character. I can't imagine him as Ocelot or Snake! Both. It can be revealed that they're actually identical twins. He can also play the full supporting cast in an array of amusing yet convincing costumes. Nate Baker1
Lol Bruce Willis is too old to play anyone, i mean i think in the next die hard he will probably suck ass sicne he is old Youd haev a better chance of denzel looking better as snake lol
matt27689
No way could it be David Hayter, unless they just got a actor and just mymed the whole thing and DH did the voice over. I mean, have you seen David Hayter?
Mike Tequeli
Although I find that a MGS movie would be extremely complicated because of limits on length, it still seems like something to go on screen. Is it supposed to be in Japanese oor English? @ Jordan: Pure genius, I never thought of that but it could definitely work out.
Kippers
As with every other game to movie movie it will suck. Tomb Raider is the only one i can think of that didnt ruin the game for me imo...And Resi Evil 習うより慣れろ
SeaNorris.
I think a movie would be terrible for a game of such structure, maybe as a base storyline but dont call it MGS....
Kippers
For me usually what ruins the movies is the crappy storyline, and predicatable events. What if they based it off one of the game storylines? That way it's good and they know from the game that the fans would like it all. In theory of course. 習うより慣れろ
Mike Tequeli
MGS has a fascinating storyline it's just incredibly complicated. It has more plot content then a novel. If they ever made a sequel it would have to be about MGS 2 which is just pushing it with vampires and such.

I mean, have you seen David Hayter? I think he could pull it off, especially from that photo. Informant X
How can you have a MGS movie without the original MG first? That wouldnt make sense.
Mike Tequeli
Interesting comparison of Tom Cruise and Snake. For whatever reason though I don't want him as Snake. @Informant- It would make sense because all sorts of things are way out of context and they work fine, Star wars, halo etc. The thing is MGS is alot more interesting then MG and they can only make so many movies, at least make it out of the modern ones. Informant X
True, but kids these days dont know the whole Metal Gear legacy cuz theyre not playing nintendo, theyre adapted to the future gaming technology. Some people is like "MG1? wtf is that!!??". If MGS just HAD to be the first movie, the guy that played Hulk would be a good Snake cuz he sounds a lot like him, doesnt look a lot like him though. Ever heard of MGS the Twin Snakes (yeah, I'm cursed with a Gamecube). I'm up for the concept of a MGS movie. I can't really think of an actor to play Snake, someone of a Japanese descent, maybe half Japanese and half German. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|

Capricornus
I always wished that there would be a MGS movie. I know it would kick ass. And yes Josh Holloway would make an excellent snake. Whta do you all think about Toby Miguer playing Otacon? He can be geeky..
mcgroves
Anyone got links for any info on the film, I haven't heard anything about it. I don't want to go sucking Hideo Kojima's balls or nothing, but it will probably be the best film ever.

Lets take a second to picture him in the outfit....bandanna to....lol no way. But good comparisons. Hopefully it will be MGS1. It had the best storyline and plot. Imagine in the movie seeing Snake use his trusty ketchup....
