Plaka
1. You could try a manual uninstall if you know your way around a PC ... Start/Run/ type "regedit" (without quotes) with "My Computer Highlighted do File/Export choose a name for this BACKUP file and location. Press CTRL+F to launch the search function, find and delete all entries for GTA, San Andreas, Rockstar 2. Format your HDD and reinstall OS and everything else. Good luck

Splint
I dont have a illegal Windows XP on my computer, my uncle has it on a disk at his house. I dont want to use it, thats the reason i didnt want to format my pc. And if your thinking i have a pirated san andreas, think again, i have the receipt if you dont belive me....hm, actually i threw it out, but i have the disk and case and the book. I hate using warez but if it has to be done then i have no option.

Wolf68k
STOP!!!!! You tried to uninstall and it didn't work, right? So you just deleted everything in the folder and now you can't reinstall the game, right? Do this.... Start->Run type regedit Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Rockstar\GTA San Andreas right-click on it and select Delete Now go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{D417C96A-FCC7-4590-A1BB-FAF73F5BC98E} right click on it and select Delete. You can confirm this is the right one by looking in the right panel for DisplayName GTA San Andreas Now see if the game will install, which it should. No need to format the drive reinstall theOS. Splint
I wasnt planning to format for a game anyways Thank you, that is exactly what take 2 told me to do, and it didnt work, although it was exactly the same as what you said. What i did was, i restored my pc to a time when i didnt even have gtasa (12th May 2006) and it worked, only thing i lost was anything i installed, which was only one thing anyway. So, thank you anyway, this forum is so helpful, everyone is Thanks Splint now i can get back to online mode....Ahh!
Wolf68k
You deleted the key right and not just the data within the key (the stuff in the right panel)?
