Lets try to keep the mission duration time at 3 hours or under.

Truly sorry for having been over the limit suicidal.gif , but hey, it was just one minute...

[All I did afterwards was completing the 'Notes' section of my posting....]

Still I hope not to have pissed anybody off confused.gif

rubregg, you are right, one minute late doesn't break the spirit of the rules/guidelines (I think), not like going say, a half hour or more over, for example.. I would think that a half hour grace period would be fair. But lets not abuse it & try to remember that the gamer waiting to do the next turn may be you. smile.gif

When we worked out the rules & guidelines we wanted to keep the game going at a good pace & we wanted to limit the amount of time that the player had to wait before he could get a turn & we wanted to balance that with allowing as many gamers to play that wanted.

Yes, and I think you did a very good job on the rules. icon14.gif

As for the half hour grace period, I simply consider it polite not to pounce on a mission five minutes after the time is up so that's perfectly fine with me. But as you said, it should not be abused.

well, all of last weekend, i was only doing the collectibles and sorting out a good route...normally i do all 250 at one go(takes a couple of hours, lesser if i have the Jetpack)...since many of the tags were done on the Chain Game, i started backwards from LV...the Horseshoes were the biggest problem...the Oysters and Snapshots(especially) were easy enough to do...and i did them all during "Drive-By", when the wanted levels could be exploited...

but yeah, i was talking with JAJ on MSN, and i mentioned to him that i was done pretty quickly...

Just a reminder that we are getting to a point in the game where one of the missions, "King in Exile", is coming up.

Don't forget there a few more options such as: collecting cars for export, dating the girlfriend(s), collecting ammo, purchasing available properties, etc.

(3) Missions not exempt from the 'One Named Mission' rule:

• "King in Exile"

• "Verdant Meadows", as mentioned above

• "Fish in a Barrel"

All of the above are cut scenes, but can be saved after, and so they pass as 'named missions'. It might seem unfair to callers, and it is, but a rule's a rule. We are trying to adhere as strictly to the first draft of rules as possible. Callers are advised that it is best to call these missions and go on a round of collections/unique jumps/deliveries etc. Hence, one should call these instead of only calling, for e.g., "Horseshoes", and speed up the progress of the game.

Notes:

I completed the NRG-500 challenge (2m10), the Hippy Shopper submission, SF gym moves, all 3 Chiliad Challenge, Bloodring stadium mission and was nearly done with Badlands, then fell off the bike driving off Mt. Chiliad and got wasted...

Badlands failed + wasted -> no guns. Does that suck or what? suicidal.gif

Please don't use my save and continue with quartet1977's one.

I realize now I've done more than one 'named' mission (I thought Bloodring & NRG-500 etc. didn't count) so what I did was against the rules anyway. Won't happen again!

no big deal at all. biggrin.gif

don't forget: no dying or failing a mission. unfortunately, if either happens, you should start again rather than saving and posting that save game.
