So far the best zombie games are:

 

Resident Evil 4 [PS2,GC,PC]

My thoughts:Probably the best zombie game ever.

Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green[PC,XBOX]

 

"Land of the Dead fails to deliver even the most garden-variety of zombie-killing thrills, due to its inept combat, awful visuals, and cripplingly stupid artificial intelligence." -Gamespot

 

My thoughts: Pretty good game despite horible AI grafics are good but not best all in all seriously derated.

Resident Evil Outbreak Series[PS2]

Q:Is it realy posible to create a zombie?

A:That depends if by zombie you mean a living dead huge strong no pain feeling dead human that risen than no.But it might be posible to make a desised human body active again for a few seconds?

 

Q:How are zombies actualy made?

Theres many teories.Some belive that zombies are made by Voodo shaman's who take the soulf of a living human and make them slaves who look undead.Some belive that aombies rise when they gett in touch with certain chemical or huge amounts of electrisiti.Some balive that the desiese called "Solaris" is responsible[more on zombie survival guide's site].But its not posible proof for dead can rise and its not done yet[OR IS IT!!!]

And, I'm not even joking. I used to play this game for long periods of time, and recentally I obtained a Genesis, and have started playing it even more. Sure, FPS zombie games are fun, and sometimes epic, but this is a classic.

Dead Rising coming soon, I'm anticipating that quite a bit. Just looks awesome how many zombies there are on screen, and all the weapons and sh*t. No brainer hack and slash action... IN A MALL WITH ZOMBIES.

I hate that guy with the chainsaw . That was just unfair, because of him, I'd never rescue that many people. I remember screaming a lot everytime they'd amost get me.

 

it may not have fancy graphics or Dolby Pro Logic, but it was incredibly fun .

Resident Evil Outbreak is underappreciated. It's a great game as long as you play online.

Resident Evil 2 on the N64 kept me awake from night to night. Especially when the licker comes out of the window in the police station after you grab those items. Scared me out of my wits. I love resident evil though, but I hate how everyone rags on the older ones because "oooo the graphics are too bad I dont play anything that has bad graphics" and you know what they can reall kiss my ass because its got excellent replay value, theres tons of stuff you miss in every game, and RE series have been famous for mini games that arm you with a toothpick and a box of bullets for a gun you dont have and they send you through a 20 mile cross city trek.

 

Why havent you posted Silent Hill yet?! SH3 for the win. Excellent combonation of subtle and sudden horror.

 

 

as for The Suffering... I remember reading a review for it one time, and the tag for it was "Rated M for Mature.... trust us." and I wanted it right away. The gameplay was a little rough, but it was excellent and scared me straight. I'll NEVER go to prison now

Don’t forget the House of The Dead games, there has been 4 so far. I never played the first, second I had on PC and played in the arcade, third I played in the arcade and the fourth has just come out in the arcade and it has Uzi’s as weapons this time, sweet graphics too.

House of the Dead 4 easily takes the biscuit. Uzi light gun. Can't beat that

 

And don't judge the series by the crappy console graphics. The arcade graphics are hot.

He posted the suffering and technically that does not have zombies in it. Not so sure about the second one though. Silent Hill 3 has zombies in it, the Nurse monsters or whatever shuffle, react, and attack just like zombies. Except the ones with the pistols.

 

So I dont see why it should be out.

 

Either way, Ive always been a huge fan of Resident Evil. When actually I didnt really like the First one or RE: Survivor. They just didnt appeal to me. I was up for the First one like major until I played it and it just seemed a bit empty ya know? Survivor was like 8-bit Time Crisis. I did enjoy the concept of that kind of shooter, but once again the story line was just a little flat. I never finished it btw.

 

Resident Evil Dead Aim was also good, like survivor the idea of an up and close shooter really appealed to me (since in my honest opinion I think horror games are scarier in first person than in pre-rendered scenes). Although pre-rendered adds to that mystery of really not knowing what will happen around the next corner, first person adds that "OH sh*t" factor when something comes up just right in front of you instead of in a short cinematic. In cinematics you cant react, and your character auto-reacts. In first person as in dead aim it happens right in front of you and it puts you up to that challenge to react or die. And that I like in horror games, which is why I enjoyed Silent Hill 3's "over-the-shoulder" appeal.

Man I remember Zombies Ate my Neighbours. I've even looked for it (for my SNES) but no luck. I used to play it for Genesis at a friends house, but then he got rid of the Genesis .
