It would be piracy, but due to the fact they're encrypted I haven't think to it. But there will probably be solutions, otherwise don't even think to radios in the mod. ParoXum Posted May 13, 2006 Author Share Posted May 13, 2006 Some News : ======== I've been pretty busy this time, and that's after a lot of work that I present a new part of the Closed Eyes Areas... Always working on the main land, srti. That's a hood where you can find little american suburbs houses, gang houses, wood houses. The place is surrounded by higher buildings, like small skyscrappers and motels, shops. The main characters house is the centered one. There is a garage under the house where the player will be able to tune his cars, also repair them, etc. Expect a lot of details for the interiors of the gangs houses. Seems like it has been build like Vice's little Haiti Style houses New textures, details' are everywhere, as usual There will be the city jail on the top of the hill, expect some missions there. (Contact/Cutscenes) Dont pay attention to the tree It's already fixed I've done some optimizing on the entire first map, now the LOD textures has been downto 32px� ones, to reduce the average txd size by 10. I've already started optimizing all the LOD's dff, that were the same as close dff in the last release. By reducing the poly density on the basemap i gain more than 17K polys (the structure, not the buildings) that was over 20K polys. The LOD system is gonna be based on the Rockstar sytem. (seems to be workswell) It means, LOD meshes for building will be simple cubes of the volume of the original object, without any details. All the lod concist into the texture applied to it. The mod will redo all the old buildings and roads, because the map structure is to old and compared with the new mapping system we're using with the new district. So I see that there are car paths, but they look a bit loose, probably left over from the San Andreas paths? Have you made any ped paths or car paths for this map specifically yet? I take it that those will be an inevatability seeing as you modders have some top-notch mothafunkin' skills. Can't wait to see the final product. You rawk. The only problem is the bugs that are inevitable with WIP, but even with them, this is still great. a single glance shows the work gone into it, and if you can't even run 2 programs correctly, then i think you must be the "asshole" And correct me if i'm wrong, but isnt there effectively a readme on the official forums (likn in lead post i think) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There IS a readme in the ZIP @teun.steenbekkers : it's been written in the topic : there will be a full storyline in 1-player, and there'll be MTA:Revolutions in addition to the mod (the MTA:Rv maps are located near the main island but they aren't visible in solo, only in MTA maps.) Here we come aaaaagain, and this time with the firsts vehicles pics of the mod. They have a special attention for the moment, need to be finished first. And the other vehicles of the mod will be brands like BMW Mercedes, Peugeot, etc... A lot of different kind of cars are on the list. On the island side, modeling is going well, announcing a the start of the holidays a totally new part of the city. For the moment, the part of the town in dev is the town center, with policy's buildings, police station, etc... An airport is announced too, on the suburbs of the city. Those cars look nice too, especially the one with thumbnail images, I love it. The Tiger just seems to look kind of "heavy" as the wheels are pretty small when compared to the height of the rest of the car... Looks a bit out of proportion to me. Not really my kind of deal. edit: It's really the front of the Tiger that bothers me.. the rear looks quite fine. But still, top notch work on everything else! Can't wait to see the next updates. GTA_Hacker Posted June 18, 2006 Share Posted June 18, 2006 (edited) yea i agree the tiger looked like an awesome suped up supra from the back then i saw the front and i thought wow . . . didnt see that comin. they look awesome but you need to lower the front of the tiger a bit and itll be awesome. only one thing i think is weird . . . the cars seem futuristic, but the town seems present like. idk, maybe with alot of new cars theyll blend in . . . the map looks awesome, very nicely done, and one question . . . do you know which cars your gonna do? there are some good concepts on this site: DieselStation i pesonally think the efijy concept by holden . . . it would fit the mafia leaders cars, also the eclipse concept and X concept by mitsubishi could fit the theme. PS. i loved how you did the glass windows on the thumbnail concept PSS. damn i got an error message when running map cleaner. it says "access violation at address 00402387 in module 'mapcleaner'. read of address BF4A4918. ill try decompressing it.
