K^2
Most likely, it's just a problem with charge indicator. Happens very often, because it tries to use voltage changes to tell the ammount of charge, and that varies from battery to battery. Try running it untill it's low, charge for 4 hours, and then see how long it takes for batteries to run out. Most likely, it will be the same ammount of time as usual. If it's somewhat less, try increasing the charge time in 2 hour increments. Edit: Many batteries don't like to be kept on charge voltage after they are charged to the max, so keeping it on charger for 2 days might not be the best thing for your iPod. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.
Spenc938
Charge for the normal time and if it doesn't work return it. I would also recommend creative over ipod.

It's prolly not worn in yet so i'll leave it on ther charger.. or even maybe get a new chager or a wall one.. thanks for all ya help!
Rocketkiller
Watch out, overcharging lithium batteries might make then explode into a giant fireball. I'm not kidding.
K^2
Watch out, overcharging lithium batteries might make then explode into a giant fireball. I'm not kidding. That doesn't happen very often to batteries. They usually just leak. Caps, on the other hand... I've had one cover me in electrolyte once when I accidently connected it to the wrong part of the circuit. Rocketkiller
Lithium batteries (used in ipods and every hdd mp3 player) are completely different, if they get overcharged, charged or discharged too fast and discharged for too long, will explode. Ontopic: My friend's ipod mini does that too, don't know a solution.

If you are charging via USB cable to computer, it normally does take longer. An adapter that charges to the wall, goes faster. I own an iPod as well, I use the wall, and it takes 4 hours to fully charge.
Wolf68k
Try completely discharging the battery Use it until it cuts out on it's own and no amount of button pressing will get it to turn on. Then leave it to charge for however long it takes as if it was b ought brand new. I would overnight should be more than enough but read the manual and find out what they say.
