Badger101
This may sound noobish but... How do you post an image without a link????
Hell No..
I think thats kind of impossible, aint it? Plus I think this maybe best in PC Chat or something. I'm on Twitch! Are you? Come say Hi. https://www.twitch.tv/priceyryan
Jack_Knife
[img=http://www.domain.com/lol.jpg] Like so. "You can play faster than Al Di Meola and do it with only one pinky, but if you're not listening to what is going on around you, you might as well just shut up" isn't your croth suppose to be erecting when you have an orgasm? Hell No..
Haha, guess I just missunderstood the question. I'm on Twitch! Are you? Come say Hi. https://www.twitch.tv/priceyryan
Demarest
I think it's still misunderstood, but at no fault of ours. I'm guessing that the topic author is used to other forums where the user has the option to upload images locally and meant to say without a URL as opposed to without a link. If I'm right, this forum doesn't support that. I think you'd be hard pressed to find any LARGE forum that does and for that reason alone. If each member uploaded one 500 KB image, it would require 50 GB+ of storage just for that.
Badger101
I mean like this http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=241418 Look at the first picture that Carbon_copy posted (the first post) I think its a user posted image
Xo4
Right click on it press properties and theres the link.
Mike_Toreno
Right click on it press properties and theres the link. A lot of people don't even think of doing that, they usually save it onto their computer and upload it themselves. Right-clicking the image brings up all details of the image, Badger. Including its size, filesize and image location.
Canoxa
It's dubbed "user posted image" because it's not hosted on the forums' server. Get yourself an image hoster. I recommend ImageShack. Press the "Browse" button, search for your picture in your computer, highlight it and select Open. Then, press "host it!", wait for the page to load and copy the last or five URLs. Then, paste it like this: [img=YOUR URL]
Mike_Toreno
Also, right-clicking the 'user posted image' and clicking 'view image' may bring up the actual image in its location. It doesn't always do that, though. Only sometimes.
Rocketkiller
Speakin of which, why does it say user posted image for some images and not for others?
Demarest
Because despite your browser's best efforts at that moment, it cannot resolve an image for that address. This could be any reason from the user misspelling the URL to internet traffic, to that host being temporarily offline. How many times was linked used in place of the intended "URL" in this thread?
