Bug

I started playing GTA3 for the second time, and I am not able to start the mision Multistorey Mayhem! I got it the first time I played the game though. The first time I played I finished the unique stunt jump on the top of the car park after the mission. This time I did the jump before the mission. Could this have caused the bug? I've tried everything, entering the car park with a stallion and using the stallion that's inside but the mission does not begin. I can't restart the game because I'm at 85% now. Plz help

Considering I've nailed 100% in 8h 21m, that's not really a reason

 

There's no bug and therefore no cause for it. The car has to be outside on the road and then you have to enter it. So just take the one that's always there, take it outside, then get into it.

if you are on ps2 (PAL), remember you have to take one with the roof up, to the top of the car park for it to start.

In terms of the coding, the Stallions are the same with or without a roof. And the coordinates are out front at street level. Being that this is a forum, don't spread incorrect information. I thought you were already in trouble, eh?

I've tried using the stallion inside as well as entering the

car park with a stallion. The mission still does not start.

I think what Dem was saying is get in it inside, then drive it outside, get out then get in again, and the mission should start if I'm not mistooken.

Okay, looks like I can't start the mission. Are there any savegame editor that I can use to pass that mission?

(Because I need 100%)

Thanx to everyone who answered! I finally finished the mission! Demarest, I used your TimeVault tool. I passed the mission, but I found the following:

The 'percentage completed' is increased.

'Mission attempts' is not increased.

In this mission, the time taken is usually recorded in the stats. But it does not with TimeVault.

'Number of days' in stats freezes.

The 'percentage completed' is increased.

There are 154 mission points in the game. Which means that 2 out of every 3 mission points you receive will increase your percentage. That's what would've happened if you played it to completion too.

 

 

'Mission attempts' is not increased.

That's an oversight on my part. In all fairness though, if you're using a tool to pass a mission for you, you can't be interested in pristine stats to begin with as they wouldn't all be yours anyways.

I don't even know of that stat to be used for anything. I do not see how Time Vault could be responsible. It's the original game code, but with all the mission data removed. There is a time command in GTA3 that was always used but didn't appear to have any effect. I'm wondering if they're related.

 

If you used Time Vault to pass it, then that means you met the mission start requirements which means you should've been able to start the mission without the tool. Which confuses me as I thought this thread was you saying you couldn't.

Of course, practically the stats are useless. I just thought you might want to know it. Thanx a lot for the tool!

As for the mission, believe me, I've tried everything possible, tried to make it start for an hour and got fed up.

That's really weird. I never knew about MultiStorey Meyhem until after my videocard dilemma (see sig), so I never got to pass it. But, back up your save games and delete the 'gta3.set' file. If that doesn't work, re-install the game (with the saves backed up, of course). And if that still doesn't work, smash the discs and throw the peices at the Rockstar building as if they were Chinese Stars. Hope this helps.
