noodles
"drop your drawers and grab your toes, I'm gonna show you where the wild goose goes." Is this actually said in the movie? If so, I might reconsider giving it a view.
Ben
Can't really remember if the critics raved about the new Amityville Horror movie (with Ryan Reynolds) but I watched it last night and it was absolutely sh*te ! There were several bits where you were supposed to "jump" - you know, someone looks into a mirror, and there's nothing there. They look down, and when they look back up, there's this creepy/ugly/evil/whatever "thing" there - it was way too predictable in this movie. Worst attempt at a horror movie ever - about 80mins of my life I wasted and can't get back ! EDIT - just thought of another one. Not really sure about the critics raving about it, but my parents, and my friends parents all rave about Deliverance. Personally I thought it was the most disturbing movie ever (the "squeal like a piggy bit" - who wants to watch that sh*t?). It was kinda funny leading up to then though (with the banjo kid). Yeah, about that... Deliverence belongs to a sub-genre of horror called "exploitation films" that were started in the 70's. Basically they pull no punches in brutally torturing their main characters, it was meant to be disturbing and succeeded in that regard. It is however, by no means a great film. Guybrush Threepwood
Titanic was another one of those awesome movies that never stood out to me. Now there's one I can wholeheartedly concur with. Let's face it, you know the ship hits an iceberg, you know it sinks, you know peeps will die. Was it worth 194 minutes of my life to see the re-enactment of that? No, no it wasn't. The love story is utter crap. Rich girl falls in love with poor guy? Where have I seen that before? Oh yeah, about every other sh*tty love story movie. Other then that one, I rarely hold a grudge against movies. Maybe King Kong, because after all the hype, the actual movie was a pretty big letdown in the "oh this story grabs me by the balls and swings me around like an ape on steroids".
