step2ice
It's been nearly a half year since I last played San Andreas. And now with my new 7800 GS card I tried a round of SA again. Only to find out that the weather is bugged. As soon as it gets rainy the colors are all messed up. Bright blue and orange tones and stuff. Just like gamma is cranked to death or something. Is this a known bug? EDIT Also some weird lines in the night sky. Edited April 16, 2006 by step2ice
balmung03
looks like you've killed too many people, and the sky is turning red with their blood... naw, just kidding. the first thing you should do is check to see if you have the latest drivers for your card. if you do, then the next thing you should try is maybe altering the display settings for resolution or visual fx quality, to see if that makes a difference. if that doesn't work, then i guess i don't know. Done that. The thing is that I remember exactly the same bug with my old Radeon 9800 Pro right now. As I installed new drivers for the card the bug happenend. Only a roll back to old drivers solved the problem. I tried all possible drivers for my 7800 GS and since the card is relatively new there aren't many versions out there. The bug remains. They way it's meant to be played.
balmung03
did you attempt a reinstall? sometimes files can get corrupted by certain means, whether intentional or not, or maybe if you installed a mod the file can get corrupted that way. most problems can be fixed with a reinstall, and it's my hope this is no different. from the looks of your problem, it might not work, but what have you got to lose? GTA3Freak-2001
From those scrennshots those look like normal things that everyone finds ingame. The first screenshot shows you right on the coast with the deserty area right in front and as such its normal for the sky to go that colour at that time of day in that area. The bands accross the sky at night are normal, I get them myself and I'd say its just an easy way for rockstar to show the skyline complete with haze etc.

I see the same things when I play GTA, its just part of the game.
Brad
Yes, nothing to worry about since I get it so its comepletly normal. Hopefully those color lines will be fixed in GTA
