help on cesar vialpando & wrong side of the tracks

i started GTA: San Andreas recently as my country banned this game due to sexual content. got it from another country though. biggrin.gif

i have problems getting thru the cesar vialpando stage. i cant seem to bounce to the rhythm, using both the 'H' and '2' keys together with the arrow buttons. i was able to catch up with the directional buttons but cant seem to score points. is it the wrong method? or there is another way?

another stage is wrong side of the tracks, i have been playing this stage a couple of times, following alongside the front carriage of the train. but big smoke cant seem to take out the vagos before the train trip ended. it would either be left with one or two vagos.

One good tip pdescobar once shared here was to turn down the volume and don't listen to the the music as this might confuse your timing in pressing the key. Instead, concentrate on the directional arrows that pop up each time. This way you'll have better focus on when to press the key at the right moment.

hi, and welcome to gtaforums! glad you were able to get a copy of the game!

this topic is more appropriate for Mission Help (http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showforum=200), so it may get moved there. Take a look there for some guidelines on how to do these and other missions (http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=216086), as well as to ask other players to complete the missions for you if all else fails.

For the Cesar Vialpando mission, use your number pad keys and follow the arrows that roll by, paying no attention to the music (or anything else, for that matter). Here is the tip from Mission Help's q&a (http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=208616):

Q: How do I do the 'Cesar Vialpando' mission with the car hopping?

A: Use the NUMBER PAD keys, 2,4,8,6

Q: I use the correct keys but it still doesn't work...

A: Make sure your Keyboard - Repeat Delay is SHORT & Repeat Rate is FAST

(Start/Control Panel/Keyboard)

As for Wrong Side of the Tracks, the trick is to stay as far to the right as possible while keeping the bike at the same speed as the train. That way, Smoke can line up his shots and waste the vagos. He's a pretty useless shot otherwise. You can watch plaka's excellent video of this mission here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=84...side%22&pl=true

Try not to worry if you can't beat this mission right away. A lot of people, myself included, had to make lots of attempts before passing it. Good luck!!

Andy 'NTG' Nelson gets rid of them a lot more quickly. (He did a speed run of San Andreas.) He looks to the left and makes sure Smoke's gun is directly pointed at the guy. That makes it a lot quicker.

For 'Cesar Vialpando' just hit the button when the arrow is in the circle. If you click it exactly with the music, it doesn't get the timing right. It's more a matter of the arrow just being in the circle rather than having anything to do with the music.

I can't really help u much with Caesar due to A. I have it on PS2 and not the computer. B. You really have to just do the right patterns....

But for Wrong Side of the Tracks I had the same problem to. I became so mad at one point I did this and it ACTUALLY worked do this in steps:

1. Jump on the bike QUICK and LEAVE Big Smoke behind.

2. Speed far past the train around the bend and hop off the bike QUICK! Slightly remember where u drop it.

3. On the right hand side there should be a ledge, if you walk up it you are on a bridge level with the train.

4. Wait for the train to pass and jump on, you will now be on top of the train.

5. Target, aim, fire all of the guys. Don't worry about losing health, they hardly cause any damage.

6. After killing all of them, jump off the train (you may lose health I can't remember, but you should still be ok).

7. Run back to the bike and hop on, pick up Big Smoke who should still be back where you left him, and drive home.

This was 10 times easier for me than doing the mission correctly because Smoke couldn't smoke a f*ckin' elephant.

Hope this helps.
