If you're porting things that already exists, it might be your efforts, but not your mod really. Anyways, no need to get permission from LC. That work is the work of others on top of the work of others. It would be blasphemous for them to say no to anybody. That effort has always been free to the public to do with as they see fit. As said in the PM, I cant give your or deny permission as it is just a conversion of the original GTAIII weapons and I didnt even ask Rockstar on Permission. One thing though, now you should make all the gun sounds sound like the VC guns except for the AK, which should sound like the GTA3 AK... i think it is possible, it's just a very large file. If anyone could help you will get credited for part of the mod. By the way did you resize the Colt Python, it looks a little bigger.
