Duffy123
Hey, I have the second edition of San Andrea for PC and have been having problems from time to time with the audio: - about 75% for the mission 'scenes' have an audio delay of about 4 seconds or more! strangely enough it does not happen with all the scenes. - every so often during gameplay if im firing a weapon, the gunfire sound effect gets 'locked' and continues to rapidly repeat (I have to go to the menu and then back to gameplay to stop it) Besides that gunfire glitch this problem has little to no impact on actual gameplay, its just really annoying to watch a scene and have the audio have such a long delay.. Anyhow, if anyone has encountered this problem or something similar I would really appreciate some tips or advice... Thanks for the help, Duff
balmung03
all i can say is to try reinstalling, as some of the files may have been corrupted somehow, or maybe your computer's specs are a little low and the sounds lag a bit. have you experienced any other lag in gameplay, like sometimes you seem to slow down for a split second or something? Duffy123
No, as I mentioned before gameplay runs beautifully (aside from that gun sound glitch from time to time). My computer is new (3.2 Ghz), and not all of the cut scenes have delay
balmung03
i would at least try reinstalling, as who knows, there might be a problem. if you installed any mods, maybe they're causing this to happen, so you might want to get rid of any mods and try again, to see if the problem persists. if that's still giving you problems, i'd say to wait for someone else to come around, b/c i can't think of anything else. Brad
DO NOT REINSTALL!!! Click Run. On Run type in dxdiag This will bring up another window, allow the activity bar to finish and disappear (bottom left of window), this may take a minute or two, depending on the speed of your computer. if requested if direct x is to check the signatures of the drivers, simply select the "No." option. click on the sound/sound 1 tab where the slide says full acceleration, pull the slider to the left hand side until it says basic acceleration.
