And blue hell is usually something that happens on accident. Try going as far out in the ocean as you can and then swim to the bottom... Hell idk. A "portal" is basically any object that appears solid but is not; if you try to touch it, you'll move through it and usually into Blue Hell. Like I said, there are many portals, but the one you're looking for is the one that'll get you back to the Underground Research Facility (in Area 69), so here you go: GETTING TO THE PORTAL: Go to Las Venturas and drive to the east side of The Camel's Toe Casino. Across the street (to the north) from the NE corner of the casino is another building, and this has a police bribe visible on its roof. There's a small block just north of THAT building, and the only thing on that block is a Pay N' Spray that doesn't appear on your map/radar. The front section of the floor of this unmarked Pay N' Spray is the portal. It is not solid, and you'll fall right through it. GETTING TO THE RESEARCH FACILITY: Grab a Jetpack and go down the portal in the unmarked Pay N' Spray. Mark Area 69 on your map and head towards the marker. You'll see the underground facility when you arrive in the area. It's possible to get inside the facility, but impossible to get out (unless you get wasted). I usually enter the facility through the silo where the Jetpack was originally located. It's a fun place to go and check out. Bring a camera. Have fun. Falling through blue hell will make you reappear above ground. Flying at a level just below the surface should be fine. I know the spoilers are pretty unnecessary now in this topic for something so well known, but I felt like using them. If you are, can you describe what happens before you appear back on the suface? Magritte Posted April 20, 2006 Share Posted April 20, 2006 Yeah, I can help on getting into the facility: It's a little tricky, and it might take a few tries, but this usually works for me: Stand on the roof of the underground research area and get near the silo. Take off your Jetpack and walk off the edge of the facility. You'll fall through blue hell and pop up inside the facility. Sometime you'll pop up back on the surface of San Andreas. If so, try again. This is the only way to get back in, and that's why you can't get out again without killing yourself. BTW, you WILL get five stars for going there.
