Ben
This belongs in the modding section of GTAF. But from my understanding, you'd need a TXD editor to edit the skin - I think it (the skin) might be in the gta3.img file in your models directory (player.txd I think). I'm not completely sure, so wait til someone else confirms this before you try it . There might be another way to do it though - I'm not a modeller. EDIT - actually, before you attempt to mod anything at all, might I suggest that you make a backup of your original VC folder so that in the event something goes wrong, you won't have to reinstall. Good luck though .
Justin
Just modding the skins is easy. Open up 'Grand Theft Auto Vice City\skins\texture_guide.jpg' in an image editing program of your choice and tweak as desired. Once you're done, save in the same folder and fire up VC. Once running, the options menu allows you to toggle costumes. This new skin will only replace the original blue Hawaiian T-shirt. All other clothes will appear as per normal. The models, which actually alter the physical make-up of the character - as opposed to the colours of the pre-defined models you may edit by 'skinning' - are harder to edit. Herne
It's also quite easy to modify other outfits (not just 'street') by editing the TXD's. You can even replace models for things like the bank job outfit. For example, I have a white soiree in place of the bank job outfit and a green one in place of the 'i finished vice city' outfit.
