LNS Posted April 15, 2006 Share Posted April 15, 2006 LNS in line of mayhem.... Im trying to install my newly bought GTA: Vice City, but im having a hard time even getting started... The problems starts when im installing the game, right in the end of installation, it stops and report that: It appears in this window: ____________________________________ | Component transer error | |___________________________________ | | | | Component: DirectX 9.0 | | File Group: | | File: | | Error: Dataerror (Cyklisk redudanscheck) | -------------------------------------------------- | | | | |-----------| | | | OK | | | |-----------| | ---------------------------------------------------- I've tryed some restart, and update my DirectX version. Ben Posted April 16, 2006 Share Posted April 16, 2006 Make sure your CD is clean and not scratched - I've had an error similar to that when playing scratched DVDs on my PC. Also, make sure that your PC meets the minimum hardware/software requirements for playing VC. And if you've been sold a scratched CD, then take it back and demand an exchange .
