Vanzant
I used search and the topics didnt help me at all. I have Two Emachines I want to connect to the Internet using a Belkin wireless G router. I'm using the ethernet cables to hook both computers to it. I'm not using any wireless option. Both computers ran my Verizon DSL fine for almost a week now then it stopped. I get no Internet access to either one. I can get the Internet on my original Emachine by plugging it back into the Verizon Westell modem. Whats wrong with the Belken router? Any ideas? I just took the router and put it in the refridgerater to see if maybe it's overheated. It's a brand new router I just don't get it. Edit: Ok, this is what fixed my problem I unplugged the router and re-plugged it into a wall socket instead of the last spot on my Surge protecter and it works. I guess having it plugged into the surge protecter isnt going to work. Edited April 15, 2006 by Vanzant
K^2
My guess is that when you unpluged it from the surgeprotetctor and pluged it into the wall, you simply reseted the router. Try pluging it back into the surge protector. It should still run. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns. Vanzant
Tried it and it wouldnt work and guess what else? I plugged a fan into it and it shuts off and on...new discovery I need to replace the Surge protecter, this ones got five years on it so it's time to update I guess.
