Speaking as though there's no such thing as cheat device, I say the story/characters was better than SA's but of course technically LCS can't compare to that beast of a game. woops, someone beat me too it. GTA3Freak-2001 Posted April 15, 2006 Share Posted April 15, 2006 I don't see how you can compare them, SA is GTA at its highest point for the PS2 while LCS is running on a modified Vice City variation of the game engine stuited to the PSP's not so powerful hardware so its unfair to compare them. LCS really coudn't outdo SA because of the hardware it appears on. Even with LCS going to PS2 shouldn't make a difference because its still not going to make full use of the PS2's power. That said, Liberty City beats SA hands down. Size is not important methinks, it's how fun the landscape and city is to drive, run and explore through. It will be the exact same, simply a port of the game from psp to ps2. Most websites and stores have the games release date down as less than a fortnight away. If this were true, and the game was going to be spectacularly different, do you not think that maybe rockstar would have released some screens or info recently? No, I think what rockstar are doing is trying to downplay the release of the game as it isnt their next main "full blown" thing. Similar to when Oasis (the rock band) released a collection of their b-sides, there was no advertising done for it, or any sort of press release, news of it release was kept to a minimum because the band didnt wnat people thinking that they were cheating them into buying there new release when infact it was old stuff. When SA came out (and ive said this before) the first problem everyone had was "Dam R* SUX! I want 2 b Abl3 to go round LibrT!!!!!!" Therefore, rockstar release a rehash of liberty city on ps2. LCS looks pretty decent but still not anywhere near the standards of SA which is totally making use of every bit of grunt the PS2 has left compared to PSP which isn't as powerful as the PS2. I prefer the style of LCS but that doesn't make it better then SA. @Boss - That's all good and well but still alot of those points still rely on the power of the console the game is on so it ins't fair to compare them on those points. And if you don't have the right to keep your opinion without being changed, it's not that free is it? But anyways, my cousin was at my place today and he wanted to play with the PSP. Magic to all of the above can i becom a moderater too!?? Haha, anyway.. You can't compare LCS and SA. SA is going to obviously going to be the graphical superior and it's going to be longer. Because it's on systems that are more powerful and that have unlimted battery life A PSP GTA could never be as good as a Console/PC one. Why? Because missions and such are shorter as it's a portable game. You wont get as much value out of it as it's again, a portable game and therefore missions are shorter so players can have shorter little plays of it when they're like on a train or something.
