chickenplucker
I'm kind of suprised that R* never relased this in vice or SA. So I was bored with some current projects and ended up switching it over to SA for a little contest were doing at gtawip, so I could learn the Transfender upgrade system. The van is a little diffrent from the gta3 one, I added a 3d engine, dressed up the inside a little bit to get rid of that nasty low res look. It supports the SA lights, TransFender modding (NOS, Roof, Spoiler, +normal TF mods). For some odd reason the 2nd color won't show up in TF, yet it changes on the ones driving the streets and the SA plates are not on it yet. The handlings tweaked also to make jumping those SanFerrio hills a little more fun . Not a great mod, but its a blast to smash around town. Wheels in above pic from Ducati's WheelMod 1.0, the stock wheels are in the pic below. You can grab it over at [link removed] in the download section. Post a link to the mod where you don't have to sign up at a site because its a form of advertising.

the_king
nice job. The front lights look way out of proportion though.
RoxRox
Pretty cool, doesn't totally fit in SA much like many of the conversions from other GTAs, but sweet nonetheless. And R* ditched alot of good cars over the GTAs, which sucks.
chickenplucker
@the_king Yeah, they were on the original too. I tried to clean them up a little bit. Thanks Picolini, I still want to see whats behind that hood in your secret pic Thanks RoxRox, yeah I miss the Idaho for some reason lol
RoxRox
Yup, the Idaho, the VC Stinger, the Deluxo, Sabre Turbo, the 3 Stinger and Yakuza Stinger, Kuruma... they've all fallen to the fate of lazy designers... if the community can make conversions of this that quick, why can't a team of 3d modellers getting paid to do their job do the same thing but better? SeaNorris.
At least those cars have been converted for San Andreas, though.

Monitor57
this probably isnt my place to talk, but i do agree with u on the topic of losing good cars. hence y i got off my lazy ass and did them myself: hope you dont mind, but like this - so they would fit perfectly into SA: i just wish that more people would not only convert the cars over to SA, but also update them and use the knowledge of the new SA style and model updates to make them fit the game -M57
SeaNorris.
Mon, I'm really curious if you'll ever release them, I know that you release once every not so often , but it would be nice to see these cars ingame.
Monitor57
Mon, I'm really curious if you'll ever release them, I know that you release once every not so often , but it would be nice to see these cars ingame. well, the cars are really for SA LC, but that seems to have died. i havent worked on these cars for ages, and very few are ingame so far. the ones i have updates and converted into SA style are: - GTA3 Sentinel - GTA3 Kuruma - GTA3 Police Premier - GTA3 Taxi Premier - GTA3 Premier - GTA3 Stinger - GTA3 Cartel Cruiser - GTA3 Landstalker - GTA3 Diablo Stallion - GTA3 Blista - GTA3 Cheetah - GTA3 Infernus - GTA3 Rumpo - VC Banshee - VC Deluxo - VC Stinger and with a few of my own thrown in, such as: - Turismo GT (Mclaren F1) - Colt (self-desinged concept) - Comet XR (another Concept) - Modern SA Elegant and many more, my postsa in this topic is generally just an appeal to get people to do more than just convert to SA, but also to make the cars Fit. -M57
Star_Enterprise
Oh you simply HAVE to release those! You can better shoot us all rather than not releasing them. They look awesome, take example everyone!
SeaNorris.
Yeah Monitor, I did the Banshee yet I still need to learn to do the mapping correctly in order for the grunge to appear correctly. Still nice list, and that mod does seem a little dead now, shame to see your work go to waste.
chickenplucker
Wow your really setting on a gold mine of cars Monitor. That blue car started life out as the kuruma right? It almost looks like a totally diffrent car with those fender flares and the airdam. And of course great work/poly placment . Is that a vin sticker in the front window of the red one (washington?), thats some sick attention to detail.

Quadropheniac90
Pretty nice Blista conversion, but it doesn't look very much like SA, as some others said. Wow, Monitor, those are awesome. I have converted the GTA3 Stinger and Kuruma and used a 3D engine on the Stinger, but not on the Kuruma, I used 'vehiclegrunge256' with the refmap to make it look like SA cars. They both have a 3D exhaust, SA lights, but no plates yet. I chamfered the bodylines for the Stinger and applied a black material on it. They don't (not yet) have upgrades. I think I'll release them, cause they won't be in SOL... Sorry to be offtopic, once again, pretty nice job!

Dup
The R-Class does come with 10 spoke alloys on some trim levels.
Faze
I'm impressed by the way you took a Blista and turned it into GTA:S textures. Perhaps I should get off my lazy ass and buy the PC version of San Andreas...
chickenplucker
Thanks, it doesn't take much to get the SA textures working right, the gta3 ones are crap in imo. The most time consuming part was fixing the wacked normals that the origanl had. There still not right, but better then nothing. Still need to fix that 2nd color thing. The bumpers are always textured white for some reason, even though there skinded with the sec color. Have to touch it up I guess. The one in the pic was spawned using a garage editor, and for some reason the sec colors worked fine with that.
