Eric240
Yes i searched nothing came up so i wanted to post this up. the real NRG-500 is actually a Honda NR750 (see the NR resemblance) I found this by looking at the tourist trophy webite. Of course the NRG-500 was changed in the game a little bit. Honda NR750 NRG-

*MURDOC*
Hey, what do you know? They look fairly similar.
apparition
Though the NR-750 is a spectacular machine, I believe the NGR-500 is based of the Honda NSR-500 2-stroke GP bike of the 80's and 90's and early 00's http://www.europark.com/machines/ny-nsr500p1992.htm Also the number 46 on the side is most likely a reference to Valentino Rossi, who rode the NSR-500 for honda as well as the RC-211V before switching to yamaha http://www.race24.com/riders/rossi03.jpg Edited April 13, 2006 by apparition
Eric240
Well yeah probably, i mean all cars in SA have been changed a little bit if not a lot, the ZR-350 is an example, clearly you can tell it's an RX-7 but since it's been changed it's not the exact model. Canoxa
I think it looks more like a Yama YZR-M1, Valentino Rossi's bike. Why, you ask? Check out easter egg number #32.

Eric240
ROFL, well yeah as a race bike it definetely looks like the NSR, but as a street bike it's the NR750...I think also the PCJ-600 is a Kawasaki of some sort.
apparition
ROFL, well yeah as a race bike it definetely looks like the NSR, but as a street bike it's the NR750...I think also the PCJ-600 is a Kawasaki of some sort. If you look carefully at the NGR-500 you can see the expansion chambers for the exhaust. Indicating that the NGR was definately modeld after a 2-stroke. the NR-750 is a four stroke, again the one of the most noticable differnces is that the NR has a single sided swing arm. The NGR does not, But the NSR does. http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/127021/ Note the headlight. Very similar to the NGR's...this is an NSR-250. These were leagal for street use in some places. If you look at the tires on the NGR-500, they are slick, indicating a race bike. I think they jut put light on it so you could ride it at night. Notice how the other race cars (hot ring ) have lights also. I don't think R* wanted it to represent a steet bike. Thats why you don't see any riding around I agree that all 3 bikes look somewhat similar. Thats beacuse they came from the same era. The NR was designed to look like a gp bike, thus the resembalence Edited April 13, 2006 by apparition
Ottae
You didn't search very hard then Good find though
Eric240
I also noticed that on the NRG, there's no seat...it's funny. But i guess it has elements of different Honda bikes from that era, at least i cant decifer which one it actually is, also look at the 750 back wheel, it's the exact one from the NRG. EDIT: actually i did search, but an "error we cant find any thread about the subject blah blah blah" just kept coming up.
Bryce.
Alot of GTA's cars aren't totally modelled after real life cars, but it is defintely obvious that ideas from certain bikes or cars have been copied to GTA's vehicles. In this case I don't think it really resembles any of the bikes posted from before, but I guess it all depends on the viewer. If I were to take a guess, I would go with a Suzuki GSXR for the 'copycat'.

The number is ref. to Rossi and that is the base bike for the GTA model. Also, in GTA there are 4 different variation of the NRG. Two exhaust on one side. Two exhaust through seat. With faring vents. With out vents. Diff combos of those dif features.
