Brand new 2014 Stingray I got to roll next to him for a second but he ducked in behind me before I could get a good picture and I was late for so work so couldn't wait.... It was very nice though.

It was just for the quick pic then it was down and away. The iphone I dont even need to look at my phone to take a picture just swipe up on the right side of the screen opens the camera then I click up on the volume and bam pictures taken. I appreciate the concern. :)

I used to see one of these Rolls as in my parents hometown when there are weddings and so.

The other day I saw an early-mid 2000's Ford F250 Harley Davison but I didn't bother to take a shot. Not a common sight over here.

  • 2 weeks later...

It amazes me just how small that is compared to the Corsa behind it.

Oh wow, until you said it was a Corsa I never paid attention and assumed it was a Vectra because of the size difference.

I saw a Mustang on the way to college. Didn't get a chance to take a photo, because it was passing on the opposite side of the road.

Saw a black Range Rover 2013 Autobiography last night at Olive Garden. It was pretty sleek but nothing special compared to some of the other stuff I have seem here.

In the space of half an hour I stumbled upon a beautiful line of photo ops...

Gorgeous photos! :^: I still have not seen an RS7. Cavender Audi has one but it's a special order and not on display. I'm still pissed Audi refuse to make sedan versions of the RS4 and RS6 for the U.S.

Saw a drop top E-Type Jag this morning at an auto shop, but sadly I wasn't able to snap a photo of it. I remember it was in British Racing Green however, very pretty color on a very pretty car.

Nice pics, JBanton. I see you visited Jack Barclay at Berkeley Square. Good service department, I get parts from them whenever I'm in London.

Saw this one at Estoril's Racetrack (Portugal), there's just something about that old Porche that I really like. I have some other photos from the same day/event, I'll search and post later.

I saw in Rome during the last days a Lambo, like 3 Maserati Quattroporte (I think), a 1990's Dodge Ram which, by the way, almost hit some gal walking down the street and lot of small old cars like Fiat 500, a 2CV and some other I didn't find out what were.

"WEE 570" I'm giggled like crazy for like 10 minutes.

Anyway, I wanted to ask about the paint. It seems like it wasn't a factory standard colour. Anyone know something about this?

I always wanted to go to Europe and car spot. Seems a hell of a lot more interesting there than it is here.

Same here... but with America. European traffic seems so boring to me, I remember when I visited the USA, I was amazed...

Nonetheless, Rome was pretty curious traffic wise. It was full of small size cars like Smarts, these Toyotas that look like washing machines and so and there were tons of old Fiat 500. I also saw some 2 door Opel models (modern) that I had never seen before.

I didn't take pictures of any car, though.

I was amazed when I went to the US that all the cars looked so nice and tidy. They all had body-coloured bumpers and were highly specified compared to 99% of the traffic in the UK.

Here, in the UK at least, many people buy the ghetto-est model of the highest brand they can get. This means traffic looks unattractive since everything is gaudy flat colours (any sensible colour or metallic paint is extra), many cars have rubber trim (the manufacturer's way of saying "Haha look at this skimper!") and everything is a mid-sized hatchback (or more recently crossovers are popular...double yuck).

However, I would argue this is beneficial. In the US it felt, at first, I was at a car show where everything looked no nice and interesting, but it got boring rather quickly. Very few cars stood out and pretty much everything was of aesthetically-pleasing proportions.

The advantage in this country is that if you sacrifice a bit of practicality you will really stand out. When I look at a Celica in the US it just looks like another coupé amongst a load of other big cars, but in the UK car park it looks like a 'sports car' because no one else is willing to buy a car the size of a BMW 3-series with only 2+2 seats given our tiny roads and terrible parking arrangements.

Like Outcast says, it's all swings and roundabouts.

I think the worst ones are the lease and company cars. Always the smallest diesel engine available, in Recession White, with whatever sports body kit and suspension the manufacturer does, the crassest, biggest wheels available (20" seems to have become the new thing on small executive saloons and mid-sized hatchbacks, utter madness)- usually in black- and usually the most bizarre specifications (£3k Bose surround-sound stereo, no leather- that kind of thing). Generally driven atrociously too.

Spotting where I live is interesting only sometimes. One day I will see a bunch of high end cars and the next day I won't even see a 5 series F10. And classics are extremely rare here.
